734- that's a sweet collection of cars, I've been tempted to buy a S4 several times but it never swayed me enough.

Boston,

I will second your comment. It is definitely a cool collection. I had to comment regarding your S4 statement. Your observation is very insightful.

I owned a B5S4 for 15 years and it was truly an awesome car, really exceptional to drive and enjoy in the best and worst of conditions, and it was absolutely bulletproof. It was the car I gave up ~2 weeks ago to purchase my M235i. Almost broke my heart (last time I was this bummed about getting rid of a car was my E28 M5...), although the M235 is just a fantastic car (ironically, virtually the same exact size as the B5S4) that I am looking forward to putting another 250K on like my old S4.

I drove B8 and B9 S4's but they just didn't feel right compared to the BMW. Audi has slowly evolved away from the "original" "S" formula and gotten more like a cruiser, bloated, and less a drivers car. I understand what you are saying as it does not "sway me enough" now either. Well put.

B5 S4? Ive never heard of this model Audi. I even Googled it and got nothing.
When was it produced? Is it similar to an RS model?

Do you have any pictures of it?

Thanks!

Hi 734- the B5 S4 was produced for about 5 years about 20 years ago now.
I'm sure Unicorn can go into detail.

734, sorry, I am used to using the model designation numbers. The Audi "S4" platform is designated in model years 2000-2002 as the "B5" in the USA. This is the Audi base platform designation (covers the A4, S4 and RS4 models manufactured using this platform). Currently, the 2018 S4 is the B9 platform. Mine was the twin turbo 2.7L V6 model with a 6 speed. It is the model between the base and the RS models. The B5 RS4 was not imported to the USA. Many B5 S4 owners upgraded the turbos to larger ones, etc. to replicate the RS4 sold in Europe. If you look in the car ads, these are typically referred to as "Stage 3" Audi S4's. Hope this helps.

Size: 1.13 MBI just picked this up on Wednesday. It's a 2019 Honda CRV Touring in Modern Steel with Black leather. I traded in my 2011 Honda Fit Sport. This will now serve as my daily. My M235ix will still be my weekend baby.

Garage List
Peugeot 206 1.4L 4-door hatchback 2007

So a 'small is beautiful' choice, but still takes 4 adults and back seats go flat for trips to the municipal dump. 151" long x 65" wide is great for parking. No longer in production, but still very popular here in the UK as a 2nd car for local run-around work. 950kg/(2094lbs) means it's surprisingly nippy for a 1.4 engine

"Ok um I guess I’ll be the first: Why do you have so many Lexus yachts?"

Thats a fair question....
white one I let my daughter drive
the black one my son rents from me
the blue one in the garage is my spare
and the silver one is my DD

I really like the LS!
