If we pre-order and we're in CA, will it ship or will it be held pending CARB...don't want to pay and then be waiting endlessly!

It will ship. Just be aware it will not pass an emissions test at this point because no EO label has been issued to the product.

Since the octane question has come up, is this tuned to 91 octane and is there any ability to tune for 93?

Tuned for 93. Will run fine with 91 as well (just with a bit less 'oomph').

Full lineup of parts. Basically look at the F30 335i product list and you should see basically the same over on the 340i. The intercooler/heat exchanger may be a snag but everything else you should see at some point.

Mine's arriving on Friday and I'll hook it up over the weekend, so I can provide some feedback soon. For $300, seemed like a good "interim" tune while I save my pennies for what I'd really like.

Sounds good...can't wait to hear that.

Anyone with the stage one? I think they are identical aside from warranty?

true value

Ok so I've been looking at different tunes and I came across two different dinan tunes one for $299.00 with a boots of 30 hp and then I came across there stage one tune for $1544.00 and it only gives a boots of 36hp is it really worth the EXTRA cost lastly. what does dinan mean with the n20 engine has 24 more hp at 6000 rpm then the n26 engine I don't understand ???

The quickest comparison in general terms between the SPORT and ELITE units can be found at https://www.dinancars.com/the-evolution-of-power/. Warranty is the biggest difference but the ELITE system is a much more finished and robust system that equates to slightly more power and better drivability since it is taking into account much more then a single boost sensor manipulating 1 variable.

The N26 and N20 are VERY similar motors but the biggest different comes in the EVAP system and the catalytic converters themselves to satiate the SULEV requirements. On the N26 the catalytic converters have more cells and thus are more restrictive. This restriction limits top end power is all and therefore the N26 does not make as much up top as its more freer flowing N20 brethren.

In regards to the exhaust. Will you be offering a mid pipe for our platform?

Just an axle-back on the 4 cylinder motor.

I'm sure you expected the next question. How much modifying would it require to be mated to your exhaust? Why don't you have this for for the 230? Would it not have the desired effect on the 4 cylinder?

The 4 cylinder doesnt push enough air to make a profound positive effect on the sound. We actually think it sounds worse when the resonator is eliminated.

You might as well make your own pipe if you are trying to make the 6 cylinder mid pipe fit the 4 cylinder. Bends are in different locations, etc.

I tore up mulholland drive. It was my first drive driving the snake. I went up and down it a few times. My 2 had no problem up there! I was not going super fast but I was digging into the corners and felt confident with predictably of the car. I had no problems staying tight in my lane, unlike some dickheads up there. This car handles like its on rails! In my opinion the suspension mods are worth more than Elite tune. Don't get me wrong I love my stage 1. The stage 1 makes the car feel less congested. I also think the car is quieter. Power delivery is smooth and pulls hard from 3rd to 5th gear. There is still turbo lag. The Dinan 230i is basically how the car should have came off the floor.

I went to Avus. I had some other things installed at auto talent. In the future I will be using auto talent. I'm looking at the dinan exhaust or a catted dp to wrap up this build. What are you plans?

Thanks! I am thinking the power and suspension setup you have, but not entirely sure yet.
