Muffler delete - best thing ever!
So we all know there is no solution in a box for the 228. I decided to pull the trigger on a muffler delete and throw on my exotics tuning diffuser. I will take a vid of how it sounds soon, but guys, I can tell you. its awesome. Not loud at all. you barely notice it at idle. It sounds deep and refined on revs. Reminds me of what my evo 8 sounds like when it had the stock catback, but was de-catted.

the sounds u hear at 10-14s in the vid. every time i come off throttle at low rpm... rolling in traffic say... its nice. once above 2k rpm the burbles go away mostly. Cruising at 55 u dont hear the exhaust at all... i really like it.

im sure u can clamp the stocker back on. i dont think i cut it at the same point u would have to install an m-performance barrel tho. I cut it a bit further back than that. but once again u can doctor that.

stock intake running the afe filter.
It surprised me how much u heard the bov in the vid, cuz i dont hear it much at all from inside the car. I have an injen intake coming courtesy thescout13 on the forum, so i should ahve that in by this weekend or next. As it is, right now my car is up on the jack at home. i need to complete the install of the ER cooler and the H&R springs. |

Glad to hear more and more people are doing muffler deletes. I love mine and it sounds freakin awesome! I'm running catless downpipe and no resonator so mine is a bit on the louder side. It even spits flames when on map 7 with e85 fuel
