I'm looking into adding this to my 2017 230 convertible -- Bimmer Tech CarPlay MMI PLUS
VIN WBA2K9C57HV646890

This is the newest bimmertech carplay model so probably there are few examples out there.
But maybe someone out there has experience with this or the previous model.
Is it great? Is it a mess? WIll it void my warrenty?

I went to Best Buy and the very knowledgeable mechanic said none of the units they carry will work on my car.
BimmerTech says the MMI plus will work.

Got any insight? Am I asking for trouble?
