That's pretty quick. I'm finally picking mine up in 2 days. Can't wait! I am going to miss my M235i as it's been one hell of a car.

^^^ Correction: Car was ordered on 01/08/2019. I thought it was quick as well. The GM was on my ordered car that day. He told me he made a phone call, and that he was due a favor. I got lucky...

Best of luck on your new delivery. Drive in great health!

Cheers/B

Thank you and here it is. Picked it up today. I've had a smile from ear to ear all day. Make sure you post some pics when you get yours!

^^^ Congrats, again!

Beautiful car! I ordered white/tan interior/two tone wheels. White is classy/timeless/easy to clean & polish. I'll post pics as well...

Enjoy/Well done!

Great car! Even though mine went on the boat a little earlier, it'll probably be the last of the bunch to be delivered. Wasn't able to move up my PCD

Mine is unloading in Charleston today. Still have to wait for April PCD, though. Weather will be better in the Midwest by then, anyway.

I've been through that exact wait - it seemed like forever! It's a great time of year for PCD and to get some driving time in the mountains before the vacationers show up in droves.

It does seem like it's taking forever. My buddies probably think this new bimmer is something BS story I've made up! I've been studying some maps during the wait.

I feel the same way about my car being a product of imagination. I placed my request around Thanksgiving, but with the 2019/2020 change over, I just went into production last week. Sadly, I'm skipping PCD this time since May was too busy.
Traveling home, the route up 276 to Brevard is scenic and curvy. I hope you're hitting the Dragon on the way, too!

Closed the deal and picked up my temp tag yesterday! First time I've ever done that and didn't drive away with the new machine, but I'm really looking forward to my PCD. The plan is to head to Charleston afterwards for a few days of R&R, then take in part of the Blue Ridge Pkwy (either getting on from 276, or Asheville), spending the night @ Fontana, and making an early morning run up the Dragon on the way home. Man, focusing at work this week is going to be a monumental task!

Any suggestions on good coastal drives in the SC that won't be too crazy crowded?

That sounds like a great trip! I haven't done much driving there, but used to visit a friend who lived south of Charleston. If you want a casual, rural, low-country drive with big trees and spanish moss, the side roads of Johns Island and Kiawah Island make for uncrowded cruising. Very different from the pucker-factor of the Dragon.

Congrats. Anxious to see pictures when you take delivery. My 2020 is at the Panama Canal presently.

Do you what tires they used for your build?

Yours is getting close also! I assume you're taking delivery at your dealer? That should be quicker overall than PCD. For the tires, I ordered performance non run-flat, so I'm expecting Pilot Super Sports on a staggered setup.

Interesting thing, now that the car is "mine", My Garage has a second entry for the '19 M240 as a car I own. Interesting part is, the computer generated image of my car has black mirror covers (a 2020 feature).

My 2020 m240i

Hello all! Well, after a long hiatus, I'm finally coming back to my Bimmer roots. My first car back in my college days was a 91 318is 5MT, followed by an 01 330i 6MT, and now, on 3/19/19, I placed an order for a 2020 m240i 6MT. After one test drive, I was smitten w the b58 engine. The power is just flat out awesome! So, I thought I'd share my order and purchase price w you guys:

2020 m240i
Alpine White
Black interior
Manual tranny
Premium Package
719m jet black wheels
Adaptive full LED lights
Harman/Kardon
Black kidney grilles
Carbon fiber rear spoiler
MSRP $51,935
Discount $6,081
Adjusted Price $45,854
Dealer business tax $92.87
Processing Fee $579
Va Tax $1926.97
Non Tax Fees $70.75
Balance $48,523.59 OTD

My dealer said he will pass along any BMW incentive for the 2020 model when/if they become available. Fingers crossed there's a cash incentive in May or June.

My car went into "production" on Friday 4/5 according to My Garage and I now have a VIN

I couldn't be more excited and have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your helpful posts over the last 6 months.

Thanks for all the useful info you didn't even realize you were passing along to me.

These next 8 - 10 weeks are gonna be brutal, but boy is it gonna be a fun summer!

Cheers!
Tony

For this vehicle, I am taking delivery from the dealer. The ship has now cleared the canal and is heading up the western coast.

I am actually hoping for Michelin PS4 which would be a little better in my climate. Have PSS on my M235i for most of the year and they are great.

Welcome and congrats! Looks like a nice build and a good deal. You're right about the wait, it will be brutal. Here's a really detailed post on how to track your car all the way to delivery if you haven't seen it yet. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1181156.

Are you going to take delivery at your dealer or at the performance center in SC? Seems like there are pros and cons to both. On one hand, I'd already have my car if I took delivery at the dealer (perf ctr builds extra time in their scheduling so they don't risk having cars delayed and frustrated owners.), but everyone really seems to enjoy the delivery experience down there. Looking forward to Monday! (Not often I say that...)

Copy that. With my midwestern climate, one of my first purchases will need to be winter tires/wheels. While I don't particularly care to run it through all the salt & slush, I expect the xDrive/winter tire combo will be an absolute hoot in the snow!

Thanks! Regarding the deal, I wondered how good it was...hard to tell since there aren't any 2020's out there yet. If an incentive pops up in May/June, that would make it even sweeter! I plan to hold on to this car for quite a while -- especially with the idea that it could be one of the last manuals they produce.....who knows, it might be worth a little something one day if cared for properly???

Thanks for the tracking info.

I'm sadly just doing the dealer delivery -- that's mainly due to my busy schedule. I've read/heard nothing but great things about that experience; and even the drives back home sound amazing. I'm definitely a little jealous of that and I'm positive you made the right choice.

I look forward to hearing about your experience and seeing pics of your new ride....you're lucky to be so close to delivery!

So I've been a little delinquent in posting, but I've been enjoying the car and the trip so much, that I haven't taken the time. PCD was well worth the wait and I would highly recommend it. Absolutely love the car. Power, precise handling, looks fantastic (to me). I'll post a more detailed write-up later, but here are some pics. I'll also post some in the Estoril Blue picture thread.
