The 1 series H/K upgrade was also $875 as I was told. However I believe it was 10 speakers instead of 12, and 300 Watts instead of 360.
So same price more "stuff", however they got an EQ setting!

Like another person, they have changed it everywhere except 1 place it still exists, maybe they exported their programming to a shop instead of keeping it in-house

They won't make you take the car or forfeit your deposit in any situation, let alone if you're just ordering another one.

I sent an email requesting they refund my $875 and throw in some goodies too. I won't accept anything less than a port installed LSD and Performance exhaust for free.

Just looked it up and you're totally correct. 10 speakers and 300 watts. So even though it's not quite what I ordered it's still a upgrade over what I have now. And for same price .

Interesting, the 3 & 5 door get 12 speakers/360W while the coupe gets the 10 speaker/300W system. So it seems the HK system in the 2er is similar to the HK system in the 3/5 door 1er.

I got an email back from customerrelations@bmwusa.com saying they have assigned the case to a specific person, gave me his direct number, etc. Good to know it's at least not a black hole and someone is looking into it.

Stephan. I will post whatever we agree to when we sort it out, please do the same. We should at least all get the same fair / baseline offer. Doubt there will be much negotiation to be had but we'll see.

I just talked to BMW NA again to get an update (original call was 3/20). They said I would get $350 back, and BMW NA will issue the funds to my dealer. They also told me to call the sales manager at my dealer for updates, and if I didn't hear from them to call them back. Seems like $350 well be the standard restitution then, which I am fine with.

Yep, that's all I want too think it's fair especially with lease. Did you get any written documentation or just verbal? We should all try and get it in writing (or at least scan the voucher for accessories assuming we don't just get $350 in rebate) so the guys fighting this after us have some ammo and more importantly that there aren't any surprises when we get to dealer etc.

I just got the verbal from the guy I talked too today. He was not my original rep though, and he read me what was in their system, so I know it is documented. Just waiting back from the dealer at this point, and will let everyone know when I get the refund.

My rep just called me and informed me they will be refunding me $350 as well. Looks like my lease payment will go down $4.66/month.

So we'd be better off getting a $350 voucher for accessories versus $350 price reduction on lease, huh? Seems like some folks were getting a voucher early on.

Well, I only saw one person who said they were getting that deal (for 350 in accessories) and that person wasn't leasing.

If it's simply reducing your sales price by 350 on a lease, then yes, a voucher would be a lot better.

I just got off the phone with BMWNA. I was told that the dealer would get a refund of $350 and they would cut me a check in 3-4 weeks.

Yep, leasing. I may offer to take floor mats, trunk liner and black grilles which I think totals around $400 instead of $350 in cash (assume it would cost them less maybe) but at the very least I will be getting a check for the $350.
