Gouge in front bumper
Got into a bit of a fender bender with a truck's metal rear bumper today at the Lincoln Tunnel.
Per the attached photo below, the top part of my 2017 M240ix front bumper was gouged. Additionally, the XPEL clear bra was frayed on my front left headlight (no other apparent damage or scratches to the headlamp cover/assembly, or anywhere else on the hood). I note that a primed and ready to paint replacement bumper is about $540 (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/51118058097/). What do you think the total auto body/repair shop costs for this will be? Worth it to file a claim with my insurance ($500 deductible)? Any insight would be most helpful! |

$3k all in, plus $500 for XPEL. Thinking of going out-of-pocket instead of filing an insurance claim, but would like to hear if anyone has thoughts about this. |

bumper $600
bi-xenon (adaptive ?) $1000 misc parts $30-$100 labor ? painting/labor $600 Had a similar incident and went out of pocket. Think the body shop takes advantage of not having an adjuster ? |

Thinking of filing a claim. I know my rates could go up, but that's what I have insurance for... |

My situation was rear bumper and and that was about $1500. Also, will you ask not to drill for front license plate mount? |
