CPO 2014 M235i

Hey guys,

I am interested in picking up a CPO M235i and wanted to get some input. I recently went and test drove a 2014 M235i M/T w/ 31,878 miles on it. The exterior of the car is in good condition and is well spec'd (premium, tech, cold weather package, & harmon/kardon speakers). Link below for reference.

http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=90620

The list price is way high IMO at $44,995, but the dealership is willing to negotiate. What price range should I be considering for a CPO? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure about cpo pricing yet, because all these cars are going to start coming off lease in the next year. But, I can tell you thats a retarded price. I paid 46k in December 2014 for a fully loaded 2015 m235i. There's one at my local dealership in Naples,Florida for 36k with lower miles and I even thought that was too expensive.

I've got an automatic 2015 M235i for sale, Estoril blue with tech package and black interior with wood trim. Mileage is 11002 miles. Let me know if anyone's interested.

Had Opticoat done. Throwing in the BMW car cover (440$) + complete detailing kit + Weathertech mats with it.

I wouldn't pay more than $32K for a CPO'ed 2014 m235i with 32K miles. You can find several similarly specc'ed CPO'ed 2015 m235i with xdrive for around $38K with 20K miles.

There should be a large number of these coming off lease starting this summer. I'd wait.

This is my plan. Eligible for early lease termination, but may as well ride it out until there's more inventory.

KBB says my 2104 M235 with manual Silver w Coral with most options except tech is worth $32.5-33K but I only have 9,500 miles on it. Add maybe $1,000 for tech but take at least $1,000 off for the mileage and my guess is the same as my value. CPO can be done for $1,000 by a dealer because that's what my dealer said when my lease runs out. I priced it using the excellent condition so take maybe $500 off if it ts good condition but anyway you look at it $33-35K max. Another way to do it is just take 58-60% of the original sticker as the retail value if it has about normal mileage.

If you've got a good relationship w your dealer sometimes they can do CPO as part of the buyout process for no fee. You'd still have to pay if you wanted to extend maintenance.

The maintenance on mine basically is an annual oil change at 3,500 miles a year. My tires are about shot but that wouldn't be covered anyway, brakes are probably good until 40K. We still have our 2007 335 convertible and besides brakes the only issue was replacing coils when the engine started running like crap.

Yeah all depends on your driving habits. GF for instance has a 328d w 48k on it. Extending maint til 75k is $1200 or full brake job $1500. So if we don't get them done before 50k the only sensible choice is to do the maint plan extension.

Thank you all for the feedback! From what I've been seeing so far (at least in CA), the M235is with the 6M/Ts have been listed at a higher price point.

Regardless, I think I'll hold off until the summer when all the leases are returned.
