Best leather products?

Hey guys!
Bought a new bmw m240 about a month and a half ago.
I was noticing today that the seats are looking super oily and shiny.. So I was judt wondering what you guys would prefer for products to make it more black and matte again?
Thanks!

any 3 step leather cleaning system will work.

all BMW leather is coated. No need to "condition" the seats as the conditioner will never reach the actual hide. That being said, you can still protect the polyurethane coating with something like the Gyeon leather protectant to prevent dye transfer or breakdown of the polyurethane coating. Clean with a leather brush/ mild leather cleaner, and protect. Maintain with a distilled water wipe down and that’s it!

Zaino Z9 cleaner and Z10 conditioner. Does an *amazing* job cleaning off marks/stains, and the conditioner leaves a nice oem matte finish look. Has a nice leathery scent too!

I use it anywhere there is real leather in the car(seats, door panels, steering wheel, MT shift knob+boot etc.)

Hi guys.

New member and I have a CPO 16 M235i xDrive. The steering wheel is nice except the leather wrap is shiny and hard. I have noticed this with steering wheels in general that are leather wrapped, over time because of the oils on your hands and just dirt in general that they tend to not feel leather-like if this makes sense.

What do you guys use on the leather wrapped steering wheel to restore it like new? Or is it a lost cause?

Thanks for your responses in advanced.

I hit my M-Sport wheel with warm water and a lint-free cloth. Wheel feels brand new.

I use Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and their Leather Protectant Serum. As bryan_f22 mentions, a conditioner isn’t going to be effective on this coated leather, but you still want to get some protection down. Somehow got a 2 inch long scuff on my wheel and the serum made it go away!

What some others said is true - the leather is coated and it's unlikely most products will make it through the top coat and into the leather.

Somehow leatherique products seem to make it through the top coat. I'm not sure how they do it. Your interior should have a lot of sun protection built-in in the form of UV resistant windows, so dried, cracking leather should become rarer and rarer in newer cars.

I like leatherique for when you want the seats to feel brand new again, but otherwise, 303 Aerospace provides the protection I like.

Echoing the statements about the leather already having a coating. It probably just needs a good cleaning to remove the oils and restore the matte finish. There are several products out there for that. I actually just received some Swissvax Leather Cleaner today that I purchased from Obsessed Garage. It's fairly expensive, but I trust the guy who sells it. He does a lot of testing and research, and I'm happy to pay the price when I know I'm getting a good product.

maybe on the coating, but having detailed cars (professionally for a bit, I am a professional I got this lol) using items to keep dirt and more importantly oils, off leather is huge.

That "coating" does little for weight and pressure which will stretch the leather.

Its not the best probably, but online pretty cheap. We use Lexol. I don't think the ingredients have changed. Seats look new after 100k, and kids hammering them. (have used for years)

Also using on Sensatec interior, works great there too

Have used this also, and great but $$...if you treat every 6 months, cleaning is less necc. IMO (or at least easier...takes 10 minutes to apply and buff all seats)
