Glasses Anyone?
I picked up some new glasses last night. After being a Ray-Ban fan for about 4 years, I made the switch to Oakley. These are much more comfortable and feel much better then my Ray-Bans ever did. Really feels like it's quality. Anyone else prefer Oakley over Rayban? What's your favorite brand for glasses? Sunglasses?
I also picked up a pair of Sunglasses: |

I love my oakleys. On my 3rd pair (sunglasses)
There was a post (maybe here, maybe not) explaining how glasses from essentially all brands were manufactured by one company in italy (i think). And all the rest is marketing hype. Of course, some companies (cartier) hand-make everything themselves and then charge $$$ |

I need me some new eye glasses frames, hard to find the perfect frame, thinking to go with titanium frames. I switch between 1 day moists but I'm on the computer most of the time so I need eyeglasses. Would love to get lasik but just not feeling the risk right now.
I think I might go with some nice cartiers, and +1 on oliver peoples they are nice as well. and yes most sunglasses are made from the same company, luxottica

Oakley > Rayban as far as quality and technology goes, but I can understand that many find Oakley styling to be over the top.

Don't like the styling on the Persol's. I'm more of a wrap around guy.

The question is where do you buy your frames from? Do many of you go online and shop around and have local place put them in or do you do buy everything from your local optician? Many of them in my experience just rape you

I bought online, and had a local optician put lenses in, which was covered by vision insurance in my case. Looked locally, but the selection was not nearly as good as online, though one said they would order me the frames in, for almost 1.5 times what I paid for them.
