MacBook Pro 13" or Sony Z series laptop?

My Sony died a couple of days ago and I find myself wanting to get a MacBook Pro 13" to replace it. I would like the 500GB HD and 4GB of ram model.(Matches what my Sony had). For those that have made the switch, any regrets? Anything help with the transition over? All advice is appreciated.

I use my laptop to watch Hulu, browse the internet, and do school work, Primarily.

If I do get the MacBook Pro, it'll match my Sony's specs. 500GB HD, 4GB Memory. The plus is that the Mac has an i5 instead of an i3. Thanks for chiming in.

Macbook. I have two of them, an old 15in the first unibody (4 years old or so), and a newer 13in. Had an issue with the 15in where the screen was acting up a few months ago. Took it in to apple and they said they would check it out. Ended up being the logic board, but because it was faulty, even though its well out of warranty, they fixed it ($900) part free of charge! I've had nothing but great customer service and outside of that issue they run flawlessly.

definitely get the macbook pro. i made my switch from pc to mac and havent looked back ever since. even if there is some software that you may need that only works on pc, you can still put windows on your mac as well and run both operating systems simultaneously

I personally like the Sony Vaio Z. I kept missing out on all the great deals on it though. Otherwise I would have picked one up a long time ago.

Got a 17" Viao which is good except for travel. Wife got the new Mac Air, It's excellent and I'm sold on the Mac and will be getting one when the time comes.

I had a Vaio SZ 13", and it was the worst laptop I have ever owned/seen. DO NOT get a sony! Very cheap with endless problems.

I moved to Macbook pro 13" and it is great!
