Completely stock suspension.

No spacers.

I'm currently running the OEM 225/40 and 245/35 MPSS tires.

I don't currently have any other useful pictures. Is there something you want to see in particular?

nah i just like to see pictures of the white with these wheels! i really like em. i think i will go with the same, its just i thought i saw in another thread you mentioned using 10MM spacers for the front when squaring up the set up. but you said these will fit with 245s all around no spacers OEM suspension? I'm going to just buy these wheels with new tires and save my stockers when i turn em back into the dealer when my lease is up.

Great looking ride. Also considering these as well.

QQ.. Are you running 245 square on xdrive? XutvJet ride is RWD and I just want to make sure the square 245 setup will work on stock xdrive suspension.

Again... great looking ride.

I took some pictures yesterday of the 245/35s on the front to show the shock clearance and how the front end looks with the 245s. Currently my car is running the standard 225/40R18 MPSS tires in the front and 245/35R18 MPSS tires in the rear with the 18X8et43 Alutec rims at all four corners. I'll go with 245/35s in the front once the 225/40s wear out. As you can see:

1) The wheels are filthy
2) There's plenty of clearance between the shock and 245 width tire.
3) There is no rubbing of the tire on the wheel liners or anything else at wheel lock driving around the neighborhood.
4) The car is on the stock suspension

Has anyone here tried running a squared tire setup with the squared offsets?

I'm thinking of moving towards either 245 or 255 once the stock PSS wears down.

I'm not a fan of the 225's on an 18x8 rim... they look a little stretched

I'm running square BBS Ch-Rs on my M235i. I stuck with 225/40/18s A/S 3+ because that is what Michelin recommends on 18X8s.

The pics above show the 245/35 on the front with my Alutec 18X8 and the stock suspension. It does work and there is plenty of clearance with the front shock and wheel well covers.

Wow so small!

The stock rear wheels are 18x8 with a 245 section tire. I wonder why Michelin recommends so thin?

Thanks for the info!

Regarding the second number...Did you debate between 35 or 40?
As the stock sizes are:
(front) 225/40R18
(rear) 245/35R18

Also, do you think 255 would fit fine? I had 255 on my S2000 and love the grip/look of them.

A 245/40R18 is nearly an inch taller and has a slightly narrower tread patch than the 245/35R18. I wouldn't do it. A 255 is not designed to fit a 8" wide rim. It will fit, but there's no tire maker that recommends it.

Ah so if I go square, try 245/35/R18?

Thank you!!!

Great!

Did you have any problem fitting the center caps?

The center caps fit perfectly fine but a bit lose for my liking.

I bought some super thin double sided tape and reinforced the contact area...just in case...

I have done some rather spirited driving at autocross and mountain drives and it has not fallen out yet!

Nope. I bought OEM BMW center caps from TireRack when I got the wheels. They were slightly loose in the barrel. I used some 3M tape around the cap ears and then inserted the caps. They're solid and haven't moved since I put the wheels on in the spring.

Update:

I uploaded some newer pictures to the first post with the Drives, body colored mirror caps, and the OEM front splitter (partially wrapped) since Photobucket took my photos. The photos don't do these wheels justice (they appear much flatter in pictures) but Quantumn's May 20th photo captures them the best, IMO. I find these wheels actually look a bit better with a some brake dust on them and they also look really good rolling. If you want wheels that have a more aggressive OEM appearance, sit right inside the fender line, are well built, and are affordable, these are it. If they made 8.5" width rim, it would have been perfect because I really want to run a 255 in the back. Oh well.
