ECU issues

Hi all, my first post as I'm struggling to find a way around this problem.

It's a bit long winded but fuel pressure gauge leaked and was replaced, then diesel got into the loom so that was replaced. Then I was getting lots of faults down to the ECU being contaminated with diesel.

So I got a used ECU cloned and fitted, the faults were reduced to ERG valve and Oxygen sensor so these were replaced and all faults cleared. I did around 3000 miles and now all the original faults have come back again and damaged the ERG valve.

I'm told that the faults cannot be copied from one ECU to the other - anyone have any idea what might be going on? We've checked the replacement ECU for diesel and all seems ok.

many thanks, Al.
