My red on oyster with a moonlight top gets all the compliments...more so than my Austin Yellow F80 did. It's a handsome car...still crazy to think it was 57k brand new!

Two types of White and a Grey as best colors? WOW, you have selected the three most BORING colors one can choose for a car, especially a Sports Car. The 2013 C6 Vette I sold in 2017 before purchasing the current car was (yawn) white. Spent over a grand and a half to slap on some custom painted black stripes, they did nothing for the car, terrible looking for sure.

They may not be "best", but they're certainly popular:

Agree, Popular usually does not always equate to "best", McDonalds Hamburgers (yuck) come to mind.
When your spending $50K+ or more on a new sports car wouldn't you want to get something different, unique, a tad different then what everyone else has? I had absolutely NO issues forking over the premium price for Estoril Blue Metallic and waiting over 90 days for delivery when the dealer had a White unit in stock and wanted to "deal" if I took it off their hands instead of ordering.

the impact of color on creating visual drama with the body lines is a very real thing. Look at an M2 in alpine white and note how much the alpine white or Hockenheim silver negates the drama of the pumped up fenders compared to an M2 in blue, orange, or dark gray. From many angles, the body and fenders on an M2 in alpine white looks about as aggressive as my mineral white M235 does. An M2 in mineral white would be amazing.

Long story short...I wanted Alpine White, Estoril Blue was the single new car in the US that ticked every other box. People frequently tell me how much they like the color. I always thank them.
