DVD/ Video in Motion Volume
Anyone having issues with DVD volume? I have to crank it all the way up for a normal amount of volume, when music and radio volume sounds normal at only about 30-40% volume. Not sure if there is a fix or work around for this, or if it's just the way it's going to have to be.

That's what I've been discovering. Seems every DVD is slightly different but all seem to share the same issue with needing to crank it up. Haven't tried encoded movies via USB yet. Wondering if that would prove better.

I use movies/videos via USB, the low sound volume you mention seems to only affect content encoded in 5.1 - it is very annoying, I've found no way to boost the audio without converting the files to 2 channel stereo audio, which is time consuming and annoying. I'd be interested to know if anyone has a better/alternative solution.

Anyone solved this issue? I've played many DVDs and the volume is all low. It seems that the center channel is the only speaker working with DVDs.

How are you guys even enabling this, I used Bimmercode to turn it on but it said the car would ask me to do something once it completed but nothing ever happened and DVDs aren't recognized.

I did it years ago. I recall, you need to move the idrive button upwards. There are instructions in bimmercode
