Dinan offers the best warranty and in my opinion the safest gains. 100% Dinan for me.

If you want a reliable tune that packs the best punch and bang for your buck JB4.

If you want to ensure that if anything happens to the car and your covered. go with Dinan if you can afford it. Just don't waste your time with a Stage 1 from all ive heard.

I have a Stage II tune only, and it runs great. Huge difference. IF you have the cash you could always go Stage 4 in the future from them which will put you at 450/450.

Since you're in New York

EnzoPerformance tune > JB4/Dinan

If you need proof Luminous M2TROLL dd1981 are Pre-JB4/Pre-Piggyback and Post EnzoFlash

#Consistent #Smooth #Power mod per mod blows the rest, not even a competition.

I'm running a DynoDay next week and will have some cars of different tunes to see what we all put down on Dynojet, same day, and each mod will be listed.

A lot of people started with JB4 or Dinan move on or stay with it for different reasons

A quick search would have yielded the answers you are looking for faster than a new thread.

But since we are here, I'll chip in my two cents.

JB4 S1 will give you the more power and cost less. I have heard a few people having problems with them but the majority have no issues. If you blow your engine, tranny, or any other mechanical failure that can be blamed on the JB4, you are going to be out of pocket. Simply adding the tune does not completely void your warranty. Say, if iDrive or the seat motor fails, those will be covered. the JB4 is also easily removed for maintenance and such so your mechanic won't see it. However, that is not to say there isn't data stored on your car indicating you had a tune. Conclusion: Mild risk, Big reward.

Dinan S1 will give you less power and cost a lot more. What you are really paying for is their matching warranty program incase the tune does do serious damage to the car. This is also why it is more conservative output wise- to mitigate the risk of warranty payouts on their end. You get a small bump in power and peace of mind that you wont be braking the bank if something fails. My suggestion would be to go S2 if you go Dinan. You aren't required to use their intake and exhaust so my suggestion would be to go with an aFe intake and whichever exhaust you like best (imo MPE and Dinan Freeflow are hardly upgrades from stock so do some research here). This route is going to cost significantly more but if you're going to pay up for the Dinan box anyway, might as well do it right.

Depends on the dealer though. Some dealers are dikz, and will open up puma cases even if the MAF sensor blows.

They're all grimey. I had several conversations with the regional manager before having it pass through warranty. As long as you are under warranty, have a lawyers number and NEVER bring the car altered (tune..ect).
Flash tunes will always leave ghost codes in the ecu, a piggy back won't

Stage1 Tunes:
- BMS Stage1 $380 + tax or shipping + $35 cable if u want to increase the setting + $$ for waterproof case.
- Racechip $600 Stage1 tune, already comes with waterproof/all-weather case, has different maps built-in you can change and even now has a bluetooth app
- ActiveAutowerke8 $650-$700 Stage1 tune but with more sensors (harder to install than the previous 2) has multiple maps

JB4 (JB4 is only stage2)
- $530 for JB4 + $35 for EWG wires (PITA to install and remove) (EWG wires are a must to really take advantage of JB4)
- $130 for Bluetooth kit + $30 for app // or $35 for cable but must connect to laptop for any settings or logging (CRITICAL) to get either or
- + labor or 1hr to install first time ,

MissionTuned for N20/N55 MissionPerformance
- $750
- Stage1 or Stage 1.5 or Stage2 tunes available
- Better power levels than JB4 and with less boost

Dinan Stage1
= Waste of $2000 lol

Here's another example

That's the thing.

I don't want to have to remove my tune, CAI, a FMI and whatever else is altered to endure a conversation which might require a lawyer.

I am planning on going eventually stage 3/4 with Dinan.

Only time I want to be opening my hood is to either upgrade something or maintenance. I can afford the piece of mind and waste of time to remove mods altogether.

So the waste of money(2000$) for you, is the waste of time and effort for me

Dinan stage 3 will provide same WHP and less torque (25+ lbs) than all the other flashes and piggybacks.

If you have money to burn and value a warranty, Dinan is a great way to go.

If you want to remove the limiter ECU tune is your best bet.

Want solid performance for a great price, JB4 is the way to go.

I was Dinan stage 3, now Enzo ECU flash.
