Need help ASAP!! Bootmod3 can’t detect my vehicle!

I’ve tried flashing my 2019 m240i with bootmod3 on 3 different wifi networks and using 2 different laptops. restarted battery, made all ip automatic, tried different adapters, everything.

Every single time after the OBD agent says “obd connection successful” it then says “Vehicle not detected”. I was on a screensharing troubleshoot session with BM3 for 3 hours this morning and they couldn’t figure it out either.

Has anyone else had this issue/if resolved, how tf did you do it? I’m starting to think it’s just my car now.. maybe the new 2019 car’s have updated to prevent unlocking the ECU?? I honestly have no clue, but this is so damn frustrating. Willing to try any piece of advice to get this thing to work

Probably a locked out DME like the 2019 M2/3/4 owners are experiencing.

I have heard of this too and had a similar problem on 2015 M235i at first with BM3. It may be a locked out DME. I would make sure to disable your firewalls and security settings. Try an extra cable too. I had an issue on my computer - tried a different older laptop with no security and it worked. Wasted a whole day on that first laptop though trying to get it to work.

Tried a friends' windows computer after trying multiple MacBooks. Worked perfectly with windows, but won't work with any Macs I've tried

I just flashed back to stock before going to the dealer yesterday. When I got back I flashed back to stage 1. I use my MacBook Pro all the time with no issues. It only took 10 minutes on my 16 M235ix.

There aren't any maps available for my 2020 X3 M40 yet. I'm sure they can detect the DME was messed with.

There's a youtuber who had trouble with BMW financial, they made him buy out the car in the UK. Hard to say if it's safe or not, I wouldn't mod a lease.

LLF?

He had hybrid turbos, FMIC etc etc on a car he didn't own as it was financed.

Then had to borrow money from friends and family to buy it outright as you say as the bank wouldn't even touch him.
