Trunk jammed! Need urgent help please

Hi, new to this forum and hoping I can get some help please . I own a 2 Series convertible 15 plate and the boot/trunk is jammed and not opening. You can hear a motor whirring sound when you press the unlock button but it still doesn't open. It may have been caused because it was slammed a bit too forcefully by someone else.

Wondering if there's any way to open it.

I believe there is an extra trunk button in the front glove compartment
