Knightelf, last post on the link below. This was a custom rear for my car however if anyone plans on going quad, the option is available. A group buy is in the works for their entire lineup , their working on getting some pro pics of the final production pieces. It's taken a lot longer than originally anticipated as they ran into some production issues. The silver lining to that is they are now working directly with a local SoCal composite company that makes/made CF parts for Yamaha, HPF (before they RIP) , Tesla, Aerospace, Medical, etc. I'm actually dropping my car off their tomorrow for some final measuring. They did not want to bring anything less that 100% quality to market, hence the manufacturing switch.

If anyone is interested in getting in on the group buy, PM me, I can answer some questions and point you in the right direction. Also if you interested in seeing the car check it out on IG, @projectm235 , keep in mind those are not final pieces though.

Glad everyone is getting their respective mod on, post up some pics when you guys get everything mounted!

I know that there have been some other diffusers discussed in this thread, but I wanted to provide an update with before and after photos of mine resulting from the groupbuy of the diffuser originally referenced here. It's available through some retailers but we did a groupbuy direct from the manufacturer in Japan and had it painted to the color options of our choice.

It turned out to be a great value at almost half the price of other aftermarket diffusers and (IMHO) a better look.

Thanks! It was really easy to install. Simply pull out the 8 screws that hold the stock unit in (and two push-pin plastic fasteners) pull the stock piece off, snap in new piece, re-install screws. Literally took me 10 minutes.

No mods necessary - plug and play. Using the stock tips - they fit very well, slightly more recessed since the new diffuser buldges out slightly, but I prefer that anyway as opposed to pipes sticking out form the rear.

I believe there is someone in the forum who is also interested. I started the group buy back in Aug and didn't get it till last week.

Recommend to get at least five serious buyers first and once you have them, email Hiroshi at info@autoplus.jp. Start a groupbuy thread to get your five buyers. PM me if you have other questions. 1L

AutoTecknic has them listed for sale and I believe they're good in stock.

Here is the page to the listings:

http://www.autotecknic.com/category_s/195.htm

you can contact them directly to see if they're in stock~!

I guess that's an option if you want a diffuser right away. I did the group to take advantage of saving some money. For that price listed at autoteknic, that's very pricey. Shipping is not even included yet either. Not to mention paint also. I believe we came out from our groupbuy way better than that. Thx for sharing anyway.

I think so if the price ends up being reasonable...I would go for EB on the outer and then just the matte black where the fins are. Can you let me know when you get pricing etc?

jaybrizzy - Unfortunately, this has been a cyclical topic of discussion for a couple years now. There used to be a number of US dealers that sourced Autoplus components, but they dropped them from their product profiles due to slow fulfillment times.

You can make an attempt to contact them through their website, but I would err on the side of caution. A number of members have had trouble getting a response after their money was received on a group buy, so they filed a claim through Paypal to get their money back. From what I hear, they will now only accept bank wire transfers which is very suspicious based on past practices and actions.

You may be better off trying to find someone who has one and is selling. Even that is extremely difficult to come by these days, as this diffuser is highly sought after.

Best of luck to you.
