I got my Kiwi3 OBD device in the mail yesterday, just did some coding and it works great, might have been overkill on the device but figured it was better to be safe than sorry.

Here's the mods I completed:
  • Auto fold mirrors with comfort open / close
  • digital speedo (my favorite by far)
  • increased angel running light brightness to 40% (might go higher not sure)
  • audio shut off when door opens
  • door unlock with power off

That's it for now but this is unbelievably easy to use. The digital speedo alone was worth the price. There doesn't seem to be a built in code for showing engine temp, maybe it's in advanced? Can anyone assist with this?

I'm using the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE. It is faster and the connection is perfectly stable compared to vgate wifi which lost it a few times.

That's what I coded so far:

- Disabled shift point gear indicator
- Removed first fuel reserve warning
- Angel Eyes on 50%
- Radio off when door open
- Door handle LEDs on in reverse
- No horn while car locked and motor running
- Rain sensor sensitivity
- Rear vier camera zoom
- Seat heating to lower temperatures
- Start/Stop remembers last setting
- No A/C in Auto Mode
- Easy entry/exit
- Full text messages
- Additional Video Codecs
- Video via USB
- Some PDC related things
- Few more minor things

*EU cars have all the other cool stuff from factory like DRL, VLD, HBA, BFD, no nag screens and so on

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why it's cheaper on iOS vs Android?

Still, definitely worth every penny.

That's new then. I coded both on my '14 228i. Granted, I have the M-Sport package, but I don't think that would effect what graphics the ECU has available to use.

Did you need the Bimmerlink app to reset the error codes or is that not needed really?

Thanks!

I did reset them after coding using Bimmerlink. But technically nothing bad would happen letting them in there..

When rolling down your windows with the key fob, there's a delay. Is there a section where I can remove it?

I was able to code in where there's no delay for the windows to go up from the fob.

Instrument cluster misreading

Hi everyone,

I did some codings to my f22, one of which I'm a little bit concern is that I enabled the digital speed indicator, but when I did that I noticed that the temperature that is displayed in the instrument cluster is crazy and also I did the coding whit a full fuel tank so now i'm getting a range fuel number very high and different as when I started coding.

Anyone can help me with this issue?

Thanks

It's been some time since I have been through the coding forums, but I'm pretty certain you are ok. I recall reading a bit about coding some things causing the temp to read way off and it will reset on its own. The fuel economy reading is the same way. When I picked my car up from Dinan after they installed a new mod for testing I saw I was getting insanely high gas mileage on the drive home. It's back to normal within one tank. If you're still having issues tomorrow reach out to Pikachu (?), he is really helpful to people in the coding forum.

Easy exit will make your seat move back a bit once you turn off the motor. Easy entry will move it forward a bit once you closed the door and pressed the start button. Makes the whol thing of getting in and out of the car a bit easier

Regarding PDC i changed the values for what speed PDC will be turned off. This allows my to exit the 4 floor garage in my office while having PDC on all the time. It's from the seventies so VERY tight all over...

For those that want to try Easy Exit/Entrance. Works great if you're a fat ass..

In the SM2 (6d) Driver module:
3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = Modus_FA_SLV
3012 EAH -> EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 64
3012 EAH -> EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 00

In the SM2 (6e) Passenger module:
3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = UKNOWN, WERTE=03
3012 EAH -> EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 64
3012 EAH -> EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 00

The value equals = 64 (100mm). You could play with adjustments it to suit your need. I really don't know how to convert the value but you could lower it from 64 so it doesn't retract as far back.

This defiantly works. Check out this how to video in case anyone doesn't know how to use expert mode in Bimmercode

In bimmercode it was just selecting "fold mirrors with comfort closing". The timer didn't come into play for me. I like the standard delay. That option is found in front electronic module (FEM_01). If it's not in there it might not be a code for your car. 🤷🏻*♂️

Yeah mine came with comfort access. I just activated everything in bimmercode that they didn't give us in the USA and it just worked.

Just opened up the mirror last night and found out that I do not have power folding mirrors, just power tilt. Thanks all for replying, time to see how to retrofit a set of power mirrors for a decent price. Reply if anyone has done this or know of a way to do it.

Hello.
Coded some stuff already, but I'm struggling with something:

My car is from USA adapted for EU.
I have EU cluster and stuff and everything is perfect except for Cruise Control.
Once I turn the Cruise ON, on a digital display I see the speed in miles/h instead of km/h.
Same thing is in iDrive, setting up the Speed Alert, it's in miles/h.

Everything else is perfect. Digital speed is hm/h also.

Can someone help to solve this?

I tried to set the DEFAULT_WEG_EINHEIT --> km(0x00) but nothing changed.

In some forums I saw people solving this problem with this:

COC_V_EINHEIT
Wert_00 --> km/h
Wert_01 --> mls

COC_SETZ_V_MAX
Wert_01 --> km/h
Wert_02 --> mls

...but I'm not able to find those values with BimmerCode.
Please help...

So I recently purchased a 2018 2 series with the large screen navigation running I Drive 6. I assumed I would have the ability to get text message notifications since every car I have had over the last 8 years has had the ability when you have the large screen system. I was shocked this car does not have the option and called Bmw and was told because the car does not have wireless charging, it also does not have ebt.

I tried coding some things in BimmerCode expert mode and got most thing functioning now like showing photo for contacts, two phones simultaneously connected, and I see the option in notifications pop ups for emails and texts but I still don’t get the option to “show notifications” in my Bluetooth setting on my iPhone nor do I actually get the notification in the car.

Does anybody have any suggestions on getting this working?

I had the same issue until I realized I was coding for HU_NBT instead of HU_NBT_EVO like I should have been for my vehicle. Try this code (from user DMM2 in this thread: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...446&page=2)
