Challenge Stainless Lines
ATE 200 fluid (already have in)
Porterfield R4-S pads
(and just for fun) M-Performance Exhaust (great deal on ebay today).

Thing is, I live in LA in an apartment, so I don't have a garage to switch stuff out, so I kind of have to compromise. Hence no dedicated track tires or pads. Both seem do do pretty well so far (have Direzza's on right now, but staggered, and the stock M235i pads are actually pretty damn good). Also, as I mentioned above, I have a P3 in and it is great. Totally worth the money.

Everything should be installed before the end of the month, so should be pretty interesting...

Future (next) upgrade will be the M-Perf LSD. the eLSD is actually very good, but I do want to upgrade eventually.

Fun times for you!

I was actually waiting for the GC camber plates to become available when I had Racing Dynamics springs on the car, but couldnt wait and went with the coilovers / plates. Let us know how they work out.

Be interested to know how the Porterfield pads work out for you. Yes the stock pads weren't bad, and my Endless are better, but -if they exist - I want something that will not fade at all even after 30mins of hard lapping.

Get the LSD! You will not regret it.

Just had my GC plates put in. Front is 2.25, Rear is 1.65, and toe is 1/16 in. Car is razor sharp. Can't believe what a difference that made.

Okay so car went into the shop today for some upgrades (some show, some go):

4x18.5 ET 38 APEX ARC-8 in Hyper Black wrapped in 255/35/18 Direzza II rubber;

Challenge F22 Stainless Line Kit (with ATE 200 fluid);

Porterfield R4-S Pads (F&R);

M-Performance Exhaust and Stainless pedals (for fun).

Also, I got my Ground Control camber plates put in a few weeks ago. They're great. Have a "light race/aggressive street" setup at 2.25 F, 1.65 R, 1/16 Toe In.

AROSC has their school next weekend at streets of willow - already booked my slot. Super excited.

My next upgrade is going to me the M-Performance LSD, maybe in six months or so.

Looking forward to seeing how those wheels and tires fit, been trying to figure out a square setup. Kicking myself a bit for not buying those apex wheels during the group buy.

Yeah great price on them but I didn't want to order them and have them turn out to not fit properly, lot of money to not be sure hehe.

If you do the math, should fit just fine. Hell, you need ET 38 (at least) in the front to fit a 255 tire. In the back, a common setup is 18x9.5 ET 45, and this has less poke than that.

Okay, car is done. Pics attached.

Seems good. Work was high quality and everything works alright. I like the wheels. A little shinier than I had expected, but, still, I like them.

Think the rear tires would still fit under the fenders without rubbing if the car was lowered? Looks like they're pretty tight on the outside.

I thought about this myself. If you dial in a little bit more camber, should fit just fine. Im only at 1.65 in the rear, so you could easily bump it up a little and make it fit. You're right though - it's pretty tight, but no big deal on stock springs.

By the way, for those of you thinking about it, get stainless brake lines. They are fantastic. Huge difference in pedal feel (better). Also, the Porterfield R4-S pads are awesome. I'll see how they deal with fade next weekend, but I seriously couldn't get them to fade during bed in, and they stop very hard.

Porterfield R4-S High Performance Street and Autocross pads are designed for heavy-duty street driving, with better fade resistance and lower dust than stock pads. Rotor friendly, low noise, good for autocross and rally. Not for track use except for novice drivers in small, low-horsepower cars."

Yep those are the ones. I don't want dedicated race pads because I lack the garage to switch them out, so I have to compromise. The stock M-Sport pads are actually really good, but Porterfield makes a good product, and normally only makes track pads. I figure, at very least, the R4-S isn't any worse than the M-Sport pads, but might have a little better fade resistance.

Having tracked my 235 last summer with the factory pads, I doubt that a R4-S would be batter in any way, but please let us know how they work out.

As for myself, I shall be ordering a set of Pagid RS-29 Yellows.

But the added bonus of OEM pads - free replacements for 4 years. Don't forget how hard track days are on OEM pads. I cannot wait to swap mine for Akebono, but those will be swapped out with OEM pads for track events.
