UNBELIEVABLE Grand Prix. One of the best of the year? Hamilton was on fire, and Alonso nearly got him after the second stop. Can't help but feel bad for Massa, he did everything right and yet was let down by the team in that pit stop.

Glad that I got up to watch this one!

Good win for Hamilton but Webber got robbed by his own "team". Why the hell do you pit the leader with 3 laps left and a 12+ second gap on Hamilton and Alonso?????

And to think RBR whined last year about team orders....

did you not watch the race? webber had to pit to switch to medium tyres, alonso and hamilton pitted earlier and webber stayed on the track with his soft to see if he would be quicker and gain some time on the medium tyres of hamilton and alonso but that didnt pan out. he had to pit to fall within regulations of using both compounds before the end of the race.

Good race. Massa and Alonso both got screwed by their pit crews, but Hamilton was not going to be denied.

Last Faux Sports race of the season, thank god. I like getting up and having a pot of coffee while I watch the race. This midday stuff sux.

Lol. He had to pit. What race were u watching?

Grats to Hamilton. I think it's pretty clear Vettel had braking issues the whole race. I wouldn't call this the "best race of the year" but it was entertaining.

Probably a different one as I would not pit a guy with a 12 second lead ahead of Hamilton and Alonso. Specially if he still had some life in the tires to maintain a gap until the end.

Edit: did not know he hadn't used the mediums yet. I take my comment back.

Did not know that he hadn't used the mediums yet. Shame to see Webber get the shaft. I stand corrected then and take my comment back Johanness.

it was worth a shot to try to stay out though but the mediums were very quick, i was amazed i think HAM and ALO were doing 1.34's with those

Fantastic win from Hamilton!

Couldn't be happier. McLaren needs to keep some of that joy as momentum and push it through the next few races. Hamilton was great though around the 2nd corner both defending and then attacking.

I don't know if I would even say he got the shaft. I think Hamilton sort of threw them a dummy when his 2nd sector time was down like 0.7s on his outlap on the prime tires. Then all of a sudden Hamilton banged in a phenomenally quick lap as Alonso hit traffic at the last part of his last lap on the option tires right before his pit to the primes. Webber got caught out by the whole thing thinking that if he pitted last, his quicker time on the used options would get him ahead. Webber had to try something though as he was still 3rd place at that time. So he was left off no better or worse.

By the way, does anyone think that the GP promoters pulled a switch on the winner's trophy? I expected more out of the Nurburgring than a generic Santander trophy.

I thought the Canadian trophy was absolutely great, and wanted something edgy like that from the Germans. Maybe it was just a sign of the Nurburgring's financial troubles though.

SAVE THE RING did a march today before the F1 race that garnered attention by alot of news agencies. One thing is for sure, that redonkulous "crapocoaster" did not work as Nurburgring GMBH claimed it would be ready for operation for the race.

Also, there is a criminal investigation going on right now because of the "Ringcard" company almost 12Mil in the hole, and that is also owned by Kai Richter and Jorg Linder.

Certainly a sold out German GP helps.
