554m Wheels from m235i Gran Coupe
Has anyone been able to find info on the new 18" 554m forged wheels being offered by m-Performance for the m235i Gran Coupe? Might be nice as an OEM forged option that fits our cars. I'm especially looking for width, offset, weight, and cost...but I haven't been able to find anything on it yet aside from a few pictures in press releases.

It's so strange that they made the switch. was there a justification given at the time they started moving over?

I have no idea why they made the change. I recently purchased a ‘20 G20 3 series and I was aware of the switch before I bought the car but, instead of reusing a set of wheels I already own for winter, I had to buy a new set of winter wheels. It probably saves weight in both the wheel and mounting hub/brake rotor because things can be made smaller. BMW has been using 120x5 forever yet they switch to a smaller bolt circle at a time when their cars increase weight by hundreds of pounds with the release of each new generation (G20 340ix weighs 4000 lb or more). However, I find it an interesting coincidence that they make this change around the same time they were working with Toyota on the Z4/Supra. Japanese car manufacturers mostly use 112x5 and a 66 mm hub.
