water pump

welp, I'm over 67k and figured it's time to do the water pump. after much time searching for an acceptable diy, I found some on the F30 and in newtis for the f22.

buy parts, hike the car up...lo and behold, the water pump is directly behind and all but kissing the power steering pack. I'm not about to rip out the power steering rack....so I guess off to the dealer it is!

wonder how much labor will be for this....

Guess where the thermostat is located! It’s located below the intake manifold! Have fun changing that sucker out.

thermostat is much easier to get to. take out the air box and associated piping and it's right there.

Good to know. I had visions of a lot more complicated swap.

Mine died recently and i'm at 58K, so anywhere around 60K sounds like a good idea.

WP + Thermo + OFHG + COOLANT

All things to do at the same time.

I plan on all of this NEXT Spring .

Actually excited about installing the non-BMW but OEM parts.
