Once again a quote from your preferred source at gpblog.com. Have you ever looked into the back grounds of the writers there?

Here's how these recent sports journalist graduates describe themselves;

Matt Gretton Editor-in-Chief
Matt has been watching Formula 1 since 2003. He has been a member of the GPblog team since March 2018 and has just completed a degree in Sports Journalism at the University of Gloucestershire. Matt enjoys the history of F1, looking at the stats and writing opinion pieces. Aside from Formula 1, Matt also writes about Snooker and Darts.

Adam Newton Editor
An original member of the GPBlog team, Adam is an expert on everything about Formula 1, particularly the history of the sport. Adam is a huge Romain Grosjean fan, going back to his early days in the sport and can be often seen defending the Frenchman when possible! Adam loves being part of GPBlog and hopes you enjoy his content!

Louis Shaw Editor
Louis has been watching Formula 1 for as long as he can remember. He has been a member of the GPblog team since December 2018 and isn't shy about revealing his F1 opinions! Louis also works in rugby union and is in his final year of a Sports Journalism degree.

Cameron Smith Editor
Cameron is a first-year university student studying sport journalism at the University of Gloucestershire. He enjoys writing longer-form opinion pieces on current Formula One topics as well as delving into breaking news. He has recently become a member of the GPBlog team, starting in 2021, and away from F1, can be found specialising in football writing.

Toby McLuskie Editor
Toby is currently studying Sports Journalism at the University of Gloucestershire. He has been an F1 fan for the last few years and loves the thrill and excitement of every GP. He likes writing opinion pieces and looking into statistical analysis. Aside from F1, Toby is a big American sports fan, specialising in basketball and American football, as well as English sports including football and cricket.

A typical example of people with little subject knowledge who only add heat and not light to the sport.

I've always wondered why there would be some posts on the site that had no name attached to the writing it would just say "GPblog". When I realized that, I never took anything on that site serious.

You have "writers" and "editors" but no one attaches their name to what they post.

As long as it is pro Max/RB or anti MB/HAM/Toto they don't care about anything else.

I think/hope that MB & Lewis will take the next win leaving it all to play for in the last race, if Lewis does take his 8th WDC he will certainly have earned this one.

Is pointless lamenting on about if this or that had or hadn't happened, we can all say that. It's just the way it is.

I am curious as to what Max would think about some of the posts & claims that have been posted....

Curious to see what RBs strategy is. We know Mercedes is going with newer engine with less wear. Does RB match it but risk a grid penalty? Is there anything more RB can do squeeze out more performance? From what I've read, there's speculation that their might be a bit more RB can do but they're pretty much maxed out now. Not sure how much closer they can get to the W12 that was brought to Brazil.

YCO made a good observation.
VER could get fastest lap but couldn't match HAM for pace throughout the race.
Possible (and this is conjecture not conspiracy) that RB PU is showing signs of deterioration and can't run full beans for long periods.

Whatever they do don't leave it until the last race, always a big gamble. But idk the state of the Honda pu, it's all up to redbull.

Since they can't change engine modes this year, it's probably set to the max the engine can handle. Then max got fastest lap because of the new softs late in the race when fuel loads were low.

Otherwise Merc had the faster race pace because of top speed, and cornering speed - as shown in qualifying the w12 for the first time this season seemed to have a higher cornering speed than the rb16b.

Also it was a risk/reward decision for HAM.
After all the tire issues that day, it made no sense to risk the victory for 1 more point.
He was on cruise control.

Right, but HAM also was affected by the virtual safety car for his last couple of laps. Otherwise he might have attempted to take back the fastest lap.

Maybe but I think he knows it was too big of a risk. If he wins out, Max can get the fastest lap for the rest of the year and it won’t matter.

You guys can also watch driver61's break down of the w12 vs the rb16b as well:

It doesn't look like the w12 is that much faster than the Rb16B in terms of top speed as per this video, and it also looks like redbull is slowing down. Maybe engine deg is a real problem for RB.

Did you see the video below the article he posted about the pressure getting to Max? Funny he didn’t mention that part of it. Apparently RB are cheaters to since they are doing it also? I hate it from both sides, stuff like that is idiotic/bush league and potentially dangerous. I fear worse is to come in the next couple of weeks.

Why do I have a feeling that if lewis wins the next race, there is going to be some heavy bumper car action in abu dhabi?

I think that won't happen. Max would be banned from the sport if that happens. And his title would be in jeopardy, and if he ended up winning that way, it'd be tainted. He's won most races this year. He needs to win cleanly to make it count.
If he does win, it'd be deserved. He's a fast driver and is getting better and more mature as the days go. He's certainly learning a bit.

May the best driver win. We're going to be sitting on the edge of our chairs for these last 2 races. Funny I've always been an "underdog" type of guy, and I didn't happen to like Max as his behaviour is unsportsmanlike, and his supporters are just out of this world (and my feed!), and who would've thought I'm sitting here rooting for an underdog now that Max is the leader… it'd be a nice turn of tables if Lewis wins both and wins the WDC by 4 points…
