Replacing PCV Vent Hose

REF: I'm referring to the PCV hose (part #: 11127599753 ) that is connected to the Valve Cover at the top with a vulnerable 4 clips

Anyone know the steps to get to the lower end of the hose? Does not seem to be accessible. I think when I remove the Valve Cover, it may yield more room.

Any thoughts?

I think the next thing I am planning to do is to access it from underneath and see where that leads to.

Looks like the bottom end has :
- one screw
- one plastic press+release mount

It's close to impossible to access it from the top.

By the way, which topic is this under TiS?
I search for it using "crankcase ventilation" "PCV" and nothing relevant came up.

Indeed, they are a PITA.

In hindsight, I think if it's time to replace the VCG, that PCV hose should be replaced as well. VCG usually starts leaking after 50K miles and by that time, the PCV hose is all brittle and it's time to be replaced as well.

Mine is currently cracked and I was wondering if I can still drive it as is. My car doesn’t show any signs of anything being broken. Aside from a CEL of course. Should I be fine to drive it like that?
