I was looking around at options for the M colored grill and have found replacement gloss black grills with the M colors and snap on grill covers with the M colors. I can get the replacement grills for about $200, which I am leaning towards because I'm not a fan of the OEM chrome ones. But has anyone bought the grill snap on colored ones and are they any good?

Are you referring to the ones sold here in the Sponsors Classifieds "Exterior Parts" by JPSPEED? If so, they're as good as OEM.

I just installed sum snap on's from ebay. I think i paid 15 bux. Seem to be pretty decent quality so far. Snapped in perfect. They look really good and I would recommend them.

I had considered swapping for the "double tooth" look of the M2 grill, but considering the install hassle, I opted for the "M" color 1/16" tape on existing grill. Subtle, but noticeable.

i had the colored ones for about a year, they discolored.

Just know that you aren't going to keep these for ever, and the color grills are kinda rice these days.

Now that I've been looking I think I'll go with the regular gloss black, the dealer wants $220 plus tax.

Ya I had a double slat grille with color on my car for all of 3 days before deciding that it was detracting from the overall class of the car. I still have double slat, just all black now and I love it.

I will add that there are certain color cars I think it works better with (Blue and red being the obvious examples). But my Car is Sapphire black so it the stripes draw too much attention
