1/4 mile time M240 xdrive

I went to drag strip for the first time.

From the search, I knew that the 1/4 mile time should be around 12.5 sec.

Car was in sports+ mode with transmission in sport auto. Used launch control every time.

My best run was 12.39 sec at 109.4 mph which is very respectable and consistent.

I did total of 9 run (7 runs almost back to back then 2 more runs after an hour) and time was so consistent.
Best run was the 7th run. (worst was 4th run, 12.67 sec at 108.4 mph with manual shifting)

Weather was around 80F at the beginning and went down to 70F at the end.

Intake air temperature was between 120~135 F before the start, quickly dropped to 110F as the car moving.

I was impressed how consistent this car ran.

Trap speed was within 1 mph and time was within 0.15 sec (excluding the one I shifted manually)
No heat soak issue.

This consistency kinda made the drag race boring.
Not much to do to improve the time. lol

100% stock. (well except Dinan mid pipe which adds nothing but noise.)
I don't have moon roof, so it's 30~40 lb lighter but I'm not a small driver at 200 lb. lol

I kinda wished if I could adjust the launch rpm.
In terms of grip, this awd can use higher launch rpm for sure.
(don't know about reliability though. lol)

Are people running a light ethanol mix in otherwise stock N55s and B58s with no issues?

Nice runs and yep, AWD and auto makes all the difference. Basically like running slicks plus with the auto, you can build boost on the launch. Something you can't do with a 6MT. 1.7-1.8 60 foot. Man....

I know. modern automatics are very good.
The slowest run was the one that I shifted manually.
(It was still 12.67 sec)

Even more impressive was how reliable it was.
I ran back to back 4~5 runs without much waiting, no issue.

Waiting in line for 20~30 minutes with engine idle, no problem either.

Times were within 0.15 sec from all of those runs.

I don't know why some ppl complaint about heat soak.
(Maybe it will be a problem at 100F+ ambient)

Nice. My best last year was also 12.39, but that was with JB4 on the old Map 1 and a 1.98 60'. I'm RWD though. Your time/trap are stout for a bone stock car. Heat soak is worse with a piggy back. Do a DP and Stage 2 Mission flash and you'll be running 11.70's with ease!
