[QUOTE=TakoMako;23633960]So, the failure is not the fault of Dinan at all, but Dinan is buying you a new engine? Why would they do that?

And the situation is not resolved yet as Dinan is still reviewing the request from my dealership. I will be happen once I am told what is going to be done. As for long, I am just prepared for a long wait. |

So then it was the fault of Dinan that your engine needed replaced, or BMW, or you don't know who is at fault and who is paying for it? Thanks

I want to add this, ......
I just had communication with Dinan regarding this issue, and that Dinan is covering the cost of this engine, which is great. Yes, I am on my 3rd Elite tune with Dinan, and having issues, but we are closely working together to resolve the situation, and although this is a pain in the butt for TakoMako i am left feeling confident that regardless of the problem, it will be taken care of.

You actually checked with Dinan about my situation? I don't even know much about what is going on. |

Even though this a a HUGE pain in the butt, Dinan_Engineering is dealing with it, and to be honest, I have not read one instance of where Dinan has left a client hanging, ... heck, they haven't left me hanging at all, so I have NO REASON to believe that they will, as I have seen no instance where they did with someone else. Anyway

Kinda like an update.
My dealership said the status they are getting from Dinan is still shown as "review". The dealership has 3 cars there that are waiting for Dinan warranty. (No idea what those 2 other cars are) |

If it were me, I would be speaking to a lawyer and getting a letter from his office to the dealership/BMW Canada indicating that you will pursue legal action should this obviously unrelated to Dinan issue not be resolved through the warranty process. And this is coming from a fellow Canadian...a country that is NOT overly litigious!!

From the sound of things, I will be taken cared of. My advisor is being really good to me too. As regard to the problem being cause by Dinan parts or not, I only relaying what I was told. Only BMW and Dinan knows what is actually going on and what caused it. I have no answers for most questions, as I don't 100% know what is happening between BMW and Dinan at the moment. |

Damn, Just ordered a tune for my pending x3m40i.
Do you mind saying where in Canada you are? Just curious about the dealership. I had a stage 3 on my 235/n55 for around 65k kms with zero issues. Man I hope this isn't an issue with b58 or their stage 1 tune
