Any updates on the CAI? I'm anxiously awaiting this release.

you and me both lol

i did speak with a dinan rep a few weeks ago and was told the final product will be all cf, including the filter box. I had originally called to see what the specs of the intake would be so i could see if the eventuri intake would meet the same specs. I figured if i was spending 700 plus on an intake i wanted it to be full cf. That is when the rep told me the final product that had just arrived was full carbon and it was currently in testing. So now I am super anxious for the release.

Well, hopefully it's not too much longer. Would be nice to throw this in by the end of summer. All CF is cool. I'm sure it will look pretty nice. I have the Stage 1 time and the midpipe. Just looking to let her breath a little better now.

Hey guys I just got off the phone with Dinan and the release date for the intake has been pushed to July and the stage 2 tune should be August. They just got the car back from cali and are running the final testing now. If all is well, its production time. I also had second confirmation that the intake will be full carbon and roughly around the same price point.

At the monthly Caffeine & Octane show in Atlanta. Here are a few pics of the prototype B58 CAI at the Dinan tent. Grant says they are tracking for July/August production.

Besides price point I want to see dyno sheets primarily for the tune.

Glad we have a preview on the prototype. Hopefully they can give us more info or an update in the following few weeks.

Intake looks sweet, but I'll take a pass on it at six bills.

In answer to the dyno results - A CAI gives you minimum gain in both HP and Torque whether the cost is 600 or 200. As for the dinan stage 1 tune, I never did a dyno but the car gained almost 1/2 Sec and 4 mph in the Qtr mile which is the real measuring stick.

O I know the CAI is mostly bling and noise - I just want to see the results.. I'm getting it with my stage 2.

Curious, have you tested a 0-60 run, and if so, how?

As seeing that the CAI will be required for the stage 2, I have to assume there will be an overall decent bump in power, and that the CAI in that case has to provide something that makes the bump possible?

Sorry, this was actual from one of Dinan's cars at a car show. Didn't hear it running.

I agree with the above comment -If the CAI requires a tune then there should be some power gains - Example I have a 18 Mustang GT and the JLT intake required a tune and it gave 11 RWHP on a dyno which is significant for a CAI - Lets hope Dinan does similiar!!!

Grant says they are still tracking toward a July/August release for the CAI. The stage 2 tune will be a longer wait.

I believe the stage 2 tune will require the intake, but the intake can be run without the tune.
