Is the speed limit info codeable with bimmercode (expert mode)? I have the KAFAS camera set up.

On a lease turn-in, would BMW update the software before selling? I picked my '14 2er through CarMax (first ever experience with them, I'm neither for or against going that route again), so it wasn't a CPO.
Reason I ask is...reading through this thread I noticed some things that peeps have enabled were existing selections for me in iDrive, like Office and the digital speedometer. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but my last experience with iDrive was the version that came with a 2005 530i. So, I'm trying to decide if I wanna endure the headache of buying a Vgate (or similar) and installing the app on my iPad and/or iPhone6. I *REALLY* wanna turn of that [/insert insulting expletives here] ASD!!! |

Got a replacement VGate after the first one was giving me issues. Worked like a charm.
Items Coded: -Auto-Fold Mirrors on comfort touch lock/unlock -Digital Speedometer -M Performance startup on dash. -Video in Motion After coding the Auto-Fold Mirrors on comfort touch lock/unlock, the car automatically shut off on its own which was weird. Anyone ever experience that? Started right up however and nothing seemed out of the oridnary. Can videos be played from your iPhone via Bluetooth or USB? or is it strictly DVD's? Lastly, after activating Video in Motion I was presented with two choices on the screen both saying n.t.a if I recall correctly. At this point the app said to follow the directions to unlock VIM after a certain speed however there were no directions on how to proceed. I ended up choosing the second n.t.a as the first was already selected. This brought me to a second screen with the options of either Yes or No, I choose yes and the screen reverted back to its normal view. Can anyone comment if they went through a similar scenario. Associated functions will power cycle, but I have never seen vehicle shutdown completely with ignition + engine on.

Interesting, if it makes a difference the car had been idling for around 10-15min with drivers side door open the entire time. Weird, but everything seems to be in working order.

As long as coding finished before shutting down, things should be fine. You can also scan car for errors with Bimmerlink.

lateapex'er , I coded my car with the Bimmercode app while the engine is running and the same happened to me multiple times. The engine shuts off after the coding is complete. Not sure what I was coding at the time though and no issues afterwards. I have also coded with E-Sys and that never happened that I can recall.

HU_NBT2 = HU_NBT_EVO = H-H2.
Parentheses in grammar are an optional add-on. Therefore, HU_NBT(2) could mean HU_NBT or HU_NBT2. If we are talking mirroring, you require ID5/ ID6 system. If we are talking playing video, you can do with any 609 Pro Nav HU_NBT(2) system. |
