Thank you for posting this!

Removing my rambling, but leaving this helpful info on how locking incentives works on orders.

The 60 days in your case begins at the END of the current bulletin period. So, for September that would be September 30. That means you have 60 days from September 30 to choose from. As long as you sign for your car within that timeframe, you will be able to choose September, October or November rates... whichever works best for you. Judging by past incentives, November is probably best, as you should see some holiday credits and such, but nobody would know for sure.

2017 M240I X Drive

Just closed a deal today on a new (but 2017 model year) Silver M240I X Drive. Snow is falling here now so they were desperate to move this, I got $11,700 in direct discounts, $650 discount on a sport exhaust and they sourced me some gently used winter tires and wheels for $600. Altogether I saved probably $14,000 and only have to deal with some slightly used winter tires. I can't wait to take possession on Friday it's going to be awesome!

I picked up a fully loaded new 2018 F23 M240i convertible in mid-december, with about every package except the parking sensors, plus it came with m performance wheels and pedals. I was able to get it for about 22% under MSRP. I also negotiated for 20% off dinan parts and 15% off m performance, and had the dealer install the parts (add’l charge) before pick up (LSD, tune, CAI, mid-pipe).

Need best time to order advice

Thanks for posting the information here!

I currently have an Audi that will go off lease April 2020. In light of the fact that the 2 series is at the end of its current lifecycle (Am I correct 2020 is the last year for the current design?), I want to plan ahead so that I don’t miss the current 230i. When should I order and what’s the best way to time it with lease end?

I would appreciate whatever advice you can give me!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is this lease credit and how does it work?

"$4250 lease credit
$750 loyalty credit (lease / APR)"

It means if you lease that car, there is an automatic discount from BMW. After that discount you start negotiating with the dealership. That discount is not given you by the dealership.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Have been looking at lease hacker and there are a bunch of terms and concepts there that I'm not familiar with. Do people here go with the Multiple Security Deposit option in lieu of a down payment? They also talk about CCA and OL and other terms I have no idea about, it's all very confusing...

You can do Multiple Security Deposit to lower your monthly payment. But make sure you want to keep your lease for the full term. People usually don't like to pay the MSD's when they want to take over a lease.

If you are a BMW Car Club Association (Bmw CCA) member you get $500 rebate for purchasing a 2 series Bmw. If you are not a member now, you can do a 3 year membership for $134 and save $366.

OL codes are given after Bmw dealership events and Ultimate Driving Experience events. There is one in NJ and another one in Boston this month. Some dealers don't accept it, some do. Usually they take $500 out of the $1000 discount.

Just found a corporate program with my employer but as I'm a current BMW owner the only program available to me is the cash incentives (i.e. use my own financing, no BMW FS or lease). For a 2 series the cash incentives are $4,900 off an '18 or $4,400 off a '19. These are off MSRP but nothing says I can't negotiate a lower price. I can't combine with CCA credits, but loyalty and OL credits are ok.

Looking at an M240i convertible, is the $4,900 close to what people are able to negotiate off MSRP? I was thinking of not telling the dealer and negotiating my own price first, then throw this in, but the certificate clearly says the incentive is "applied towards the final MSRP", so I think I have to share this with the dealer and this will be our starting point for further negotiation. But if this is as low as they'll go (plus the loyalty and any OL credits) I don't want to waste my time trying to push for more.

I'm bummed I'm not eligible for the lease credit ($4,750 on an '18) because that plus the BMW lease credit would've been a really nice discount.

Are the May incentives out yet? I'm looking to purchase, not lease, so I'm hoping for some dealer cash or cash back...

THANKS!

Added 2020 230i and M240i lease program info. No change for 2019 2 Series.

Does anyone have any info what the next cycle (June/July/August) of incentives will be like? Looking to order an m240i soon (but after may) but would rush to put my order in if the 2k incentive is going away. Is there any data from the past showing BMW just totally pulling incentives?

Bump, any hints on summer incentives? Trying to decide if I need to rush to order before this month ends or if I can wait a little.
