Mileage is horrible. I got much better mileage with my e90 335. Also FYI when it indicates "0" miles left do yourself a favor and fill it up ASAP. I drove about 5 miles after it indicated "0" and ran out of gas, no fun! The gas gauge is not very accurate.

The needle wasn't even at empty, although it was close. On my e90 I could drive almost 30 miles after it indicated 0 miles left. I guess I'm used to the larger tank on the e90. Won't run out again, usually only happens once!

no one should ever drive to "0" even if you were to have an extra gallon left. |

jrstech, you need to read closely what you wrote... you kept driving when your useful range is zero, yet you were surprised that you ran out of gas!!?? Hmmm... sounds pretty brilliant.

i drive almost exclusively in sport (wish i could figure out how to default to this mode & not have to select it every time, but i digress) and local city driving sans highways. i'm a bit of a lead-foot and have averaged 17.5 mpg over the first 800 miles.

This is probably the funniest thing I have read in a long time. I always thought I was risking it on my 335i when I had under 10 miles cruising range and would stretch it out a bit and always refill over 0. I never thought to see what the range really was. You're right about the gauge not being very accurate. It should have stalled out right when you hit 0. I ran out of gas once before, but it was in a 20 year old Jeep that had a broken gas gauge that was stuck on full. |

20-22 is what I am getting but it is hard not to drive in sport mode especially with the performance exhaust. Love to hear the sound. My lowest has been 17. I have only had the car three days

Only problem is that the gauge wasn't at empty. I guess the gauge isn't very well calibrated with the miles to empty indicated.
