M Perf Rear Diffuser 228i?
Hey fellas,
Still waiting for my vehicle to arrive, less than two weeks to go. I've been looking at pictures of the m performance rear diffuser for the m235i and it looks great. I was checking out getbmwpart.com and noticed they have the rear diffuser for the 228i m sport as well. Has anyone seen this in person or have any pictures? I'm really tempted by this |

My 228i is in production ATM and I'm planning on purchasing a diffuser after I take delivery. If there aren't any pictures up by then, I'll snap a few and post back in this thread |

I don't really want to buy the following one (235i style): But can't find anything else on the web.. P.S. Any differences between 51192343354 and 51192343355 parts, btw? Last edited by Vincitore; 06-26-2015 at 09:11 AM.. |

I posted pics of my 228i M Performance diffuser several weeks ago (see url below). I painted all but the fins body colour.
The part number for the 228i M Performance rear diffuser is 51192343354. The part number for the 235i M Performance rear diffuser is 51192343355. Ergo, you want part #: 51192343354. You should be able to order it from your friendly local BMW dealer - or from any number of online sources. http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1134171

Hey, we're neighbors. I've wondered whether or not one could put the muffler system on the 228i M-Sport as well. I'm six months away from ordering one, but I just don't like the dual/single exhaust. Needs balance, plus I'd like a bit more noise back there. A bump in power wouldn't hurt either. What color is your 228i?

Mine is Alpine White. I bought the m235 M Performance muffler/exhaust and put it on my 228. It sounds really good for a 4 banger. You still get the burbling and popping which is really nice. No drone. The piping is a little different so an exhaust shop can do a sleeve or something, pretty simple to be honest. If i remember correctly, its 70mm vs 75mm on the 235 piping. I put on the black performance grills and side splitters as well. Inside ive only changed the shifter to the carbon/alcantara one. Looks and feels great!. I dont think I will be making anymore changes as I am saving up for the M2 or M3 in a couple of years when my lease is up. I have a couple of iphone pics and short clip which ill post later tonight when I get home. I also just got a GoPro so hoping to get it hooked up for some driving videos as well. |
