Spoiler installation

Whats the best way to install a spoiler so it aligns perfectly and is installed perfectly? What kind of fine marker can you use to line it?

Align it perfectly, you or a friend hold it in place, while you or that friend uses painters tape to tape in place on side closest to rear window, as to create a “flap”.
I used three lines of tape, flipped it towards front of car, removed the double sided tape release liner, carefully and slowly flipped spoiler back into place, making sure the tape did not shift or come off as to not misalign the spoiler.
Apply pressure to middle of spoiler, working your way outwards.
I used a heat gun to apply just a little heat to help it adhere easier.

Hey man i really fked it up... i heard someone say to use a putty tool, and i used it and then it scratched the clear coat, and also i didnt put it on straight. Is it possible to straighten it? Its not flush against the trunk on one side. Also is it possible to buff out the clear coat scratches?
