Transmission in M/S

Figured I'd ask, although I can't imagine there being any issues.

When driving my M240i, I run in Comfort Mode but the shift lever in the M/S position. I don't manually shift, but rather let the transmission shift as necessary.

I don't race the car or even push it's limits ever, basically just drive with the lever pulled to the left and in the M/S position. Doing this has eliminated the CEL i'd get with the Dinan Stage 1 .v1. I can't imagine any long term issues with the motor or transmission being operated in this mode.

Thought? Nothing in the owners manual about running in this mode for extended periods.

BTW, low miles being put on the car, less than 2K miles per year on average.

I always run in sport+ to the left, except when driving long distances cruise control Econ (turnpike distances), ...... never had a problem since the Dinan was removed over a year ago
