Advices for tire size on OEM wheels

Hello,

I have a 2016 m235 xdrive. Currently, I run the square set up : 225-40-18
I think that sport tires with 245-35-18 was an OEM option on the rear.

SO can I use 245-35-18 rear safely or did this size come with a larger ET rear wheels from factory ?

Thank you

Sorry, the staggered tires have 7.5" front wheels and 8" rears. I believe you are 7.5" on all four corner. I do not believe it is safe to run a tire larger than 225 on a 7.5" wheel. Both Michelin and TireRack told me not to run 245's on the smaller wheel. Especially on the front where the G forces could break the tire bead.

I had to check because my car was delivered with 245s on all four corners. I had to ask the dealer to replace them with 225s.
