Glad the white car is shown in a stick at least.

I also think it looks pretty terrible, why is the roof grey? Why is it even up?

228i is a different story
It would then cost more.

It's simple, BMW wants to compete for aftermarket $$, not force all buyers to pay for carbon fiber interior bits, etc.

IMHO, any parts that offer enhanced "visuals", such as most of these parts, they really should be called "M Design Parts". Any parts that actually add tangible speed, power, or braking improvements should be called "M Performance Parts".
Shift knobs, foot plates, decals, wheels, etc aren't performance, they are design visuals; look fast but don't really make it fast. However, if it adds tangible and quantifiable speed improvement, then it's worthy of the "performance" designation.

Just tired of EVERYTHING labeled as "performance" when there are some parts that don't "perform" anything.

You do realise that those M performance logos on the sideskirts add up to 30hp each?

Why do the wheels always look so puny on the 2-series. There is some sort of an optical illusion in pictures, but the car always appears oversized for its wheels.

anyone else think that the M235i rear in general is ugly? I mean the front is awesome but the rear reminds me of the new WRX. Even with a diffuser, it seems unbalanced from a design standpoint.

Mostly agree, but the M Performance shift knob is 1. weighted and 2. shorter-throw.
Could help make shifts faster and more reliable.

Having said that, if you want the best performance, you get the 8AT.
Period.

I upgraded my 335 to that shift kit and it "felt" better; not sure if the linkage itself allowed me to shave a millisecond somewhere--really negligible.
However, changing the manual box fluid over to Redline MT90 made the shifts much more direct when the box was hot.
