Dyno Run
I got out to the Dinan/APR Haus Party open house today and got the car on the dyno for three runs. Best was 365HP, 399Q. Car has a ZF trans, Dinan Elite Stage 1, Dinan CAI, Dinan Midpipe and Wavetrac LSD with the 3.08 final drive from the manual. First time on a dyno.
The shot of the board up to the point I left. The M5 was a beast, but the RS3 was insane! No new info on the Dinan stage 2 drop.

Thanks! Still on the V1. I had a harness change early on that resolved the issues I had.

Our cars are very similar - Elite v1 - had to replace the harness. Dinan CAI and mid pipe, I have the AWE exhaust and a Quaife, but my car is a 6spd.
Taking drivetrain loss ranging between 12% and 15% - that puts the cars in the 408 - 419 range at the crank - which follows Dinan's claims fairly closely. |

I suppose at trade time I could pull the .v1 and try to sell it @ a big discount (along with the Dinan CF air intake) since the .v1 isn't available anymore (and having the tune or Intake won't return anything on a trade anyway. Perhaps keep the .v1 for my own enjoyment and wait for the Stage 2 (could be Dinan vaporware). Or maybe after warranty expires, go with a flash tune from another company. So many new interesting cars being offered (now and in the future), not sure if I want to keep the M240i long term. The EV's have captured my fancy) I'm really up in the air on this as I love everything about the car (except the CEL) and with the miles I put on it I could keep it 10 years and never hit 40K miles. |
