I'm around, had a JB+ and switched to Dinan Stage 1 which I like better. Otherwise running the AFE drop in dry filter but that it on the mods. Really happy with the car this way so far.

I'm in a 228iX, and I know what you mean about not seeing many. They do turn up at our local HPDE, but I think I'm the only person tracking an AWD, the other ones are RWD. One of the oddest things is how people overestimate the expense of these - I'm often getting comments from people about my super-expensive car, when they are driving sport utes or pickups that cost a good bit more. Only real mod so far are the MPerf BBK, wheels and tires.

Love it! Not loud nor annoying … is louder at cold start up but then it will settle down to a nice tone

You can get the kit for about 2600, less if you go thru places like fcp. Installation for me was most expensive part - I was going up from the base sliding calipers, so it needed entire rebuild of the rear hubs to add the larger backing plates and rotors. There are cheaper workarounds if you are looking to DIY. It was very worthwhile for me, as I'm tracking it and had the crappy little brakes originally. If you already have any of the 'blue' Brembos then I think you would be wasting your money (or it would be a cosmetic change), especially if you don't track. It is a massive visual upgrade either way (and yes, you always need 18" wheels, and even some of those won't fit w/o spacers - not quite as tight as the M4 kits I've seen, but they really fill the wheel.

I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of cost (everything is more expensive for BMW's, especially an uncommonly modified model like the 2) but I'm quite happy with them. It's not "as good" as a set of coilovers, but they're the next best thing for a whole lot less money, and the difference in capability is not that important for anything less than competitive motorsports use. |

Have you tried a BMW specialty shop like Bimmerworld to find out why they don't seem to be available?

I've been enjoying our new '19 230 xDrive with THP for several months & 5,500 miles (went cross-country to BMWCCA O'Fest). It came with separate set of 17" BMW wheels and Conti Winter Tires which are currently on the car. No mods to date but considering new brake pads to reduce the excessive o.e. pad's brake dust....

I didn't have the M-sports, I had the crappy sliding calipers; keeping those to swap back in case I ever decide to trade her back in. I went with the BBK because it was actually cheaper than getting new M sports piecemeal, and not much savings if I went with used that I'd need to rebuild. In retrospect, it would also be worthwhile to consider rebuilding the 'blues' with high-temp track seals, especially for the ability to stay w/ 17" wheels. I do occasionally see a set go up on the for-sale boards, so if you are looking I'd post a WTB note there. And FWIW, I can't imagine it is cheaper to trade in vs getting this kit through one of the discounters (about 2k, last I looked).
