Will 18x8 ET32 18x9 ET35 fit??
I currently have M3 LCAs in the front, and full adjustability of camber and toe in the rear, now I know the front should clear since I am running 18x8.5 ET35 right now, what about the rear ?
My current set up for the rear is -2.3 camber with 18x9.5 on coilovers with 265/40/18 Thanx in advance!! |

Not sure, but your 265 40 17 has 20.5 mm more sidewall height than stock..and with your ET35 18x9 it would sit 10mm further out than current ET45..and if it is lowered maybe more difficult.. stock is ET58
..also tire..square shoulder? I am running 17 x 9.5 et35 with 235 40 17..but the RS-RR runs wide...and that has not much margin for poke.. One plus is that when mounted on 9" vs 9.5 you will loose some effective width...but maybe not enough to counter the 10mm further poke.. |

The 35ET in the rear increased the rear track, while front track stayed same, so handling decreased, more understeer, I found, and also was using 235 rear - ie no traction..! The 255/40 better matches the 225 45 front tire diameter, almost positive on that. Also the 265/40 has a more sidewall , looks 'meaty', but more sidewall flex With coilovers and lowered the 265 40 rubs? or ok? probably has some poke.. if no, then 255 should be even better for no rub. (not sure how much help w/ -2.3camber but should be of help) (255 for sure better than 265 for fitment..less width..less sidewall ht) 235/40f 265/35 rear are good sizes diameter wise, (not sure 255 40 18 is common? 255 35 more common) Me currently, 235 40 18 fr 255 35 18 x 9.5 et 58 rear...though going for grip and handling...may go 265 35 18 et 58 for more rear traction.. ...also 255 w 9" rim...probably better match to rim...tire bead to rim width fitment ...stance wise..looks...very dependent on rim, ride ht, sidewall proportions..etc. Last edited by m3driver999; 07-26-2017 at 02:12 AM.. 255/35/18 would be better.

Increased stability in the rear is all.

Just tried my old z4 wheels and tyres on my 240. Fronts 225/40-18 et35 no problem. Rears 255/40-18 et35 rubbing straight away only drove 10 yards did not fit. Standard wheels going back on tomorrow.
