55k miles - Do Rod Bearings?
My M235i with around 55k miles is in the shop for unrelated issues (porous head). Since they have stuff apart, I asked if there was anything I might want to do while the indy has it partially apart. He advised they could do the Rod Bearings NOW for about $700 instead of the usual $1000. However, he sees no abnormal wear, at this point.
I have a good 3-year/100k warranty (covering the porous head). Should I pay for the Rod Bearings out of pocket now, or wait and see? Thoughts? Thanks!
