Hi I have a question about the Vorshlag camber plates is will these work for a 2019 m240i with full oem suspension? I am interested in a set. Are these built to order?

Yes, these plates are modular. They can be built for full OEM suspension or for most coilovers currently available. Yes, for the F2x/F3x is mostly build to order with lead time around 2 weeks.

New for 2016 - Vorshlag BMW F22 Camber Plates for use with OEM style struts & springs! NOTE: Production parts are being finished machined now (July 27) The planned shipping date is the week of August 8th, 2016.
Like virtually every BMW ever made, the F20/21/F22 series of 1 and 2 series BMWs have McPherson strut front suspensions, and these models have zero camber adjustment from the factory. Unfortunately, these BMWs don't have enough negative front camber to allow them to be driven on a road course or in an autocross event without shredding the outside shoulders of the front tires. The need to add negative camber was something we noticed when these cars were first introduced but there didn't seem to be a way to do it with our traditional Vorshlag spherical top mount designs.

These F20-22 models introduced a whole new array of "challenges" with an all new factory strut top mount design. We had never seen a larger diameter unit in any BMW, and the integrated nature of the top mount + upper spring perch made for a very short stack-up height. We knew immediately that we would have to go back to the drawing board and make all new parts for every piece of the F22 top mount design. We ended up needing the most number of new components and the largest main plates we've ever used in any pair of Vorshlag top mounts - more material, more machine time - but it was worth it in the end.

Using tester Nathan's BMW M235i F22 shown above, we took apart the front suspension, made many measurements, worked up several designs in CAD, and honed in on this unique approach to BMW spherical top mount camber plates. We ended up with an upper main spherical bearing holder plus another separate bearing holder for an all new sealed radial bearing below the main plate.

The OEM perch could then slide up around the radial bearing, allowing the spring to handle articulation during suspension travel - just like the OEM top mount design. The strut shaft pivots on the spherical bearing - removing a big chunk of rubber that would normally deflect under suspension load. The spring perch can still rotate freely to isolate steering loads from the spherical - thus, still meeting all of the stringent Vorshlag top mount design criteria, just with an all-new way of doing that.
This design is specific to the F20-22 "non-M" models, but they do work on the M235 as well. The latest M2, M3, and M3 models (F80) have some added engine bay brace components that get in the way of this Vorshlag F22 design, so we will be introducing something different for those cars soon.
Due to height restrictions of the OEM F22 parts - we will never make a camber plate that adds ride height to the OEM spring/strut combo - this is a camber-only adjustable top mount. To adjust the camber is simple - with the rubber covers (aka: tupperware) out of the way, you can see the 6 Allen head bolts that protrude above the upper spherical bearing holder in the image above. With the suspension lifted to remove preload from the top mount, loosen these 6 allen head bolts (with a 1/4" or 6mm hex key wrench) and slide the top of the wheel inboard (negative) or outboard (positive) to alter the camber setting. There are engraved marks on the main plate which can be lined up with the back of the bearing holder for reference when you adjust camber track side.

With this design you can easily adjust camber track side and the total adjustment is up to 2.5 of added negative camber over stock. Our over-sized spherical bearings are designed to withstand the rigors of street and track abuse. All of our components are plated for maximum corrosion resistance and long life. Our production F22 camber plate design has a red anodized main plate and nickel plate steel alloy components (unlike some raw aluminum prototype components shown in this product entry). There is a stud and spacer included in our design to bolt to the factory engine brace, normally tied to the factory upper strut mount. The top mount design can have 3 or 5 mounting studs - please look under the rubber cover to verify what your car has. The original F20-22 had a 3-bolt strut mount but in January of 2015 and on they should have a 5-bolt design. Please look and see before ordering.

This somewhat useless rubber cover cap or "tupperware" that goes above the factory top mount must be removed for use with this or any other camber plate design. Don't worry - decades of BMWs before the F22 did without a rubber cap above the strut mount, and your car will be fine without this. The tupperware mounts with a number of plastic rivets, which can be un-clipped without damage. Remove these clips, unsnap the center ring from the OEM top mount, and then set aside this rubber structure until you need to install the OEM top mounts again, if ever.

Vorshlag camber plates are CNC machined in-house, and this F22 design includes more componnets than any previous design we have built to date. This product entry includes an OEM style upper spring perch shown above, which matches the factory front spring diameter as well as all lowering springs offered for the F22 BMW. And while this design is unique to the OEM sized spring, it can easily be upgraded to coilover spring use if you ever upgrade your dampers and springs to 2.25", 60mm, or 2.5" ID coilover springs. Call us for the alternate spring perches if or when you need to reconfigure them.

This design can add up to 2.5 of additional negative camber, which keeps the outside front tires flatter when cornering, reducing tire wear and increasing cornering grip. Adding negative camber is one of the FIRST modifications racers do to their cars, and the F22 chassis needs it just like so many others.

*Compatible with all OEM diameter factory and aftermarket (lowering) springs for BMW F22
*Works on the 2014-up BMW 1 series, 2 series, M235i
*Installs with basic hand tools, no chassis modifications required.
*Camber is easily adjustable at the track with simple hand tools (1/4" hex wrench sold separately in this car's Suspension section)
*The spherical bearing used in the Vorshlag camber plate is the largest used in any BMW camber plate on the market. The result has much better durability and wear characteristics than the undersized bearings used in our competitors' plates.
*Aluminum alloy main plate and 2-piece steel alloy bearing holder construction - Tough as a tank!
*Sealed radial ball bearings isolate steering movement from spherical bearing. These do not have to be removed monthly and re-greased like competing models that use a flat, unsealed Torrington bearing
*All components machined in-house at Vorshlag on our CNC machines
*All components plated or anodized for maximum corrosion resistance and long life.
*Can also be converted to use with coilover springs later
