228i m sport winter rim and tire size

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased my first bmw and I am loving it. I’m getting ready for winter and I am looking for advice for a winter tire setup. I am
Looking at some Pirelli winter tires but I want to get a set of dedicated winter rims. What size rim do you guys recommend for winter?

17" seems to be the goto winter tire size

Do you know if a 7.5Jx17 ET37 rim would fit? I’m unsure about how the offset works.

The smaller the number for offset the more it sticks out

Use this as a calculator:

https://www.willtheyfit.com.
If you have x-drive you want to make sure the speedo error on this website is below 2%

The stock specs on the front wheels of a staggered setup are 18 x 7.5 +45 offset. Your set up of +37 on a 7.5" wide wheel should fit fine. They will stick out 8mm more on the same width. Just make sure the wheel will clear the brakes if you have the m-sport brakes
