M Perfomance Rear Diffusor with M Performance Exhaust
Hey folks,
I have just installed the m performance diffusor on my 235i with m performance exhaust and the chrome tailpipe trims. So good, so far - but for my taste, the trims a little bit to far engaged. A friend has installed the exhaust, so I can't remember how to loosen the trims. Q1: How do I make it loose? With the nut at the bottom of the trim? Q2: Can I just pull it out a little bit and make it tight again? Is someone driving this combination? Cheers big ears

There is a hex bolt (don't remember the size; maybe 4mm?) on the bottom of the exhaust tip. Simply loosen the bolt and the tip can be moved/removed. There isn't a ton of room to move the tip though. You might be able to get it closer to flush with the diffuser, but probably not beyond the diffuser without the tip being dangerously close to falling off.

There are two M exhausts one for the stock diffuser one for the M one. If you have the right exhaust the tips should be out enough even when fully seated in the tail pipe.
