Clutch and Flywheel Combo/Options

I am in the market for a Clutch and Flywheel Combo that can hold power of BM3 Stg2, possibly Custom Stg2 map.

I am currently at Stg 1 BM3, ChargePipe, CAI, FMIC, MPE, Spark Plugs, and 61,000miles on the Odometer.

Recently, ive been noticing this smell of burnt rubber coming from underneath my car, especially after i turn off the car and get out.

I read that it might be possible to slap an M2 clutch/flywheel, but i couldnt find any real research.

Then theres brands such as Clutch Masters and Spec that says some of their kits needs Single Mass FlyWheel and there are some that doesnt say it needs a Single Mass. For those that doesnt say it needs the Single Mass, could i slap a new OEM BMW Dual Mass FlyWheel on there and will it hold higher than stock torque/horsepower?

If you're not going crazy with power you can get the 335is/550 clutch that many people have done for a stock like feel. I think the M2 uses a different transmission and that clutch won't fit.

Anyone running aftermarket Clutch & Flywheels?

My clutch is on its way out, if anyone could give me good options to hold STG2 Power/Torque, any OEM or Aftermarket ideas.

I wouldn't really worry about an upgrade with those mods, a stock clutch should be fine. I've been stage 2 for quite a while, it put 451 lb-ft to the wheels at 62k miles with no problems at all. I've seen a few people say the limit is close to 500 lb-ft before they had an issue. If you were to slap a new turbo on there then I would upgrade.

Figured I'd chime in here, since been also searching about clutches. Is there a definite answer the 335is/550i clutch will work in the M235i? I just flashed to BM3 stage 2 E30 map and now started getting clutch slip. Car has 50k miles and feeling pretty bummed now. Probably going to flash back to stage 0+ (M2 tune) to conserve the clutch while figuring what to replace it with.

I believe they are the same part number for the trans, so I don't see why not.

My mechanic told me the OEM clutch/flywheel is capable of handling up to 400ish HP. I am still lookin for a good combo to clutch kick

I run oem clutch and fly wheel. Custom bm3 map 480 whp. No issues. If yours is still good, Have fun with it until it’s an issue. Then replace.

Ignore retailers horsepower holding claims, clutches hold torque, horsepower makes no difference in this case. Ask about the torque capacity when you make your pick.
