Switching from JB4 to BM3... worth it?

So my FBO m235i has been running jb4 for some time now. I ran map 2 with 93 oct but moved to CA and took the DP off to pass emissions and haven't had time to put it back in. So currently I'm running map 1 and will be limited to 91 oct. I'm thinking about switching to BM3 but can't decide if it's worth it. Thoughts?

I never had the chance to try Ny JB4 but the customer service provided by BM3 was great. I had a minimal issue that was resolved in no time and wa able to enjoy my stage 2 tune. I love it and feels pretty smooth, especially in sport mode.

Thanks, I had a protune with protuning freaks with my 335 and loved it. I'm familiar with how well they work with you. Mainly looking to hear opinions from people who made the switch to see if it was worth it.

I went from JB4 to BM3 in April of last year. IIRC there was not so much a huge power difference (butt dyno only) as there was a driving fun difference. The flash seemed smoother and the mid range torque came on quicker. There are a few other niceties of the flash, like ability to remove the cold start and adjust the exhaust burble. These can be changed by the user before flashing a map.

More recently I put the JB4 back on as a meth controller. Took a bit to get it dialed in, but it is nice on top of the flash for this and can be disabled easily.

Both PTF and BMS products are excellent and both have great customer service.

Depends on what you are looking for.
Each has its pros and cons.

I used to run jb4 map 2 and was definitely happy with it but that was the only real option without taking the ecu out. I got bm3 stage 2 about a month ago and am very happy with it. Like others said the customer service is great. The real difference is how smooth the car run is now. The power comes on hard and continues to pull all th way to redline. With the jb4 I felt like the boost would fall off as the rpms went up. I test drove an m4 right before I bought this tune and thought it felt very similar power wise throughout the rpm range. You won't be disappointed I can promise you that. They also have some cool features like top speed removal, cold start delete (it's cool but your car runs like shit for like 30 seconds once you start driving...I went back to loud starts...sorry neighbors lol) burble options and catless cel removal. Plus you can resell your license if you don't want it anymore.

I went from JB4 to BM3. Honestly if you have a good custom map 6 with JB4 (I did) it's probably not worth it from a power perspective.

If you're a set it and forget it type of person BM3 will make more power than the default JB4 maps.

There are other features/conveniences depending on platform.
