I custom cut the Y pipe for the angle I wanted then attached it to the piping just before the muffler. The Doug's cut out is very high quality and seals off tight when closed. The downside is that the whole assembly is larger than your standard cut out flap valve so there isn't many options for placement.

Welded, I cut the straight pipe clamped section off and just used the angle piece and welded to factory piping just before muffler.
