2 Step limiters

Does anybody know if anyone makes one that is compatible with our cars? I know the WOTbox was able to be installed on the 135i and 335i but I wasn't sure if anyone knew if they made one for our N55's. Anyone know anything about them?

BMS had 2Step wiring available for N54/N55 E series JB4, i'm pretty sure.

May be worth contacting them to see if they have something they can do for F series.

I don't know that they ever made it to the 55. I know you can still buy the module online for the 54 but I have never heard of it on the 55. But would love to hear if you find out.

I contacted Jon @ Burger Tuning Tech Support via email inquiring about the 2 step limiter and I am patiently waiting on his reply. I'll let you know what I find out!

Also fyi from what I've heard from other friends running 2-step on their N54's it's not great for the turbos.

This is coming from a friend who is a BMW tech.

Well I got my reply about the 2 step limiter for the N55 JB4 and I must say, it wasn't much of one. Simply put "No plans for now." Bummer.

Have you ever seen the turbos on the N55? You're apparently a BMW genius so I'm going to assume you have, but they're very very small - not nearly big enough to be an issue when launching the car. That's why our cars get peak boost at ~1800rpm.

All (most) of the cars you see with anti-lag most likely have pretty decent sized turbo's that benefit from anti-lag; plus they're single scroll turbo's and not our twin scrolls that spool up even faster.

Most people worth their salt in the automotive scene would probably laugh if you were 2-stepping a BMW that carries a turbo the size of most peoples fists. Just a tad ricey IMO.
