Went to one of local dealers to ask for tranny and diff change.....They looked at me like I was some sort of obsessed idiot who wants to change lifetime fluids at 17k miles

Tech said it's basically the same type diff as in M cars and needs 1500 miles drain which all M cars get and M235i doesn't

Changed today. Dealer said need 2 x 500ml, tech at indy used 2.5 x 500ml. Said fluid was very dirty. Not sure if paying $45 wholesale for 500ml of OEM fluid is a good idea since any other brand is much cheaper.
